What are the reasons?

Between "Keep Is Simple Stupid" and "Small is beautiful" and "you don't live in your van, you live out of your van" and the desire for decent mileage, I have been looking at small vans and am almost settled on the Nissan NV200.

I loved this van. Am 6'3 and was able to sleep comfortably in the back with my wife. I put in a vent fan, polyiso, netting/hanging storage, and curtains in the back. Other than that was largely modular with containers and a foldable mattress so i could still use the van for hauling and that if needed. A lot you can't bring with you like you could with a bigger van, but i wasnt in it full time so it was pretty perfect for me for roadtrips and weekend adventures, especially with the mpg, nimbleness, and stealthiness. The only thing i didnt enjoy was cooking while it was raining, because i didnt have counter space, so it was much easier to prepare food outside.

Any of those are not bad and not too far from the Montour trail. You will most likely drive to the Montour or panhandle trails as most all Pittsburgh streets are not built for bikes. I used to live by Mt Lebo and rode the Montour whenever i could, the areas youre looking at are closer to some of the best trails in the area. Any street riding however should only be side streets

Get yourself some cold weather clothes and then some deep cold winter clothes. The cold doesnt stop Minnesotans, theyre out playing hockey and that through the winter. I had problems understanding people at first. Had to do with the "a" sound. Instead of the word Bag, you'll hear it pronounced Bay-g, like bagel. Totally this. One day my cat got really interested in the kitchen sink cabinet. I opened the cabinet and looked under there and sure enough there was a nice big pooling water leak. I would never have checked it if the cat didnt point it out!
