TTXVN: At least 14 people killed in fire at karaoke bar in Vietnam

At least 14 people died in a fire that broke out at An Phú karaoke bar in Binh Duong province in southern Vietnam. According to the Vietnam News Agency (TTXVN), about 40 people were injured in the incident.

Firefighters initially found the bodies of 12 dead, later two more bodies were found. All of the victims are hospitalized, 11 of whom are considered by doctors to be in critical condition.

The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on September 6. The cause of the fire is being determined. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh appealed to the Ministry of Public Security and local authorities, instructing them to investigate the circumstances of the incident. In addition, the prime minister ordered that general safety standards be observed at all sites throughout the country.
