I know the world seems cruel and it is, but there is no reason we cannot spread love in the face of hate. Love may not breed love, but hatred will always breed hatred. We must be the ones to break the cycle. I don’t know if you’re religious, but I find the teachings of Jesus to be good rules to live by. Most important of which is to love thy neighbor as thyself.

If you can stomach it I would totally recommend reading blood meridian. It is very graphic and has a disgusting villain, but the world building and characters are absolutely incredible.
