Mental health aside (and in no way implying that we're not near crisis level), I'm on the front lines and have seen a, beyond precipitous, drop in literacy and critical thinking since 2008. There's little chance that there isn't a correlation with screens.
Idk things just hit me, I just feel so out of touch with things nowadays. I just hit a revelation that I'm getting older now. I can see my era slowly fading, it's coming to an end soon. My era is culturally irrelevant now. I just feel like I just need to step aside and let the new kids take over.

But I'm sitting peacefully on my porch, some yard crews concert of leaf blowers my only, minor, annoyance.

Cambrian has the STAAR contract. They only subcontract the scoring to Pearson. The human part, anyway. The rest is handled in house
