1. I don’t like Serif fonts, I find them difficult to stitch. When I’m creating my design I tend to go with a font that is large enough to read from a distance and would have clean lines for me to follow. Futura and Calibri are two I use often. Since I am creating my own design I also expand the space between the letters a little bit, that way when the thickness of the thread is added the overall look is the same and not squished.

  2. Not the original asker but thanks so much for all these tips. :)

  3. It's not an issue of planning. This is a year round problem. PO doesn't pay enough to live in some of these communities. Aspen's average home price is over $2M.

  4. It’s every mountain town-the cheapest “house” in vail is a 2 bedroom condo-for more than $800k. And it’s not just housing in those towns, it’s gas and groceries and insurance prices that are also out of control. All that aside… we Do need the help.

  5. I used to think orphan_account was just a very prolific writer tbh

  6. I see static 100% of the time. I’ve seen it since I was a child, apparently no one else sees it. I’m 37 now, and just figured out it’s called visual snow syndrome.

  7. Saving this post so every time I go through my saved images I’m forced to write a little bit

  8. See, that's one of the few love triangles I actually like because it's not about who she wants to be with, it's about who she wants to be. It's about ideology in its heart of hearts.

  9. Thank you for succinctly explaining to me why that’s one of the few fictional love triangles that doesn’t bother me.

  10. I'm among the 1% of people that have lucid dreams multiple times a week.

  11. Wait… is that really a thing? Only 1% of us do this? Holy crap! I am special. It’s not always great, but sometimes it is

  12. Yes! Google it! Apparently only 20% of people lucid dream, and it's really rare to have multiple in a week

  13. I’ve been on google since I read this. I’m fascinated.

  14. Splitting hairs but I don’t think the $88 monthly pass goes into effect until 2024.

  15. Yeah, $200 a month is ridiculous for a bus that only shows up half the time, which means I miss the connection, which means I’m more than a half hour late to work. Hell no, I’ll drive.

  16. Insurance. Health, car, life, renters, home, etc. All of them

  17. I always act super stupid. They seem to deflate some after I’m like uuuuuuhhhhh I don’t knooooowww while exaggerating my valley accent. Granted I’m a 5’ girl so they probably think of me as incompetent, so I play into it hard. If they start getting real pissed, I laugh at them and start looking around, pretending to be super embarrassed for them. They hate it and it gets them off my back every time

  18. Buying a whole fleet of Mercedes that serve exactly no one’s needs, and acting surprised when the employees you bought them for hate them, and scrambling to find a secondary replacement.

  19. My hunter gatherer abilities DO let me see how stupid you are. Also- bleep you, I’m actually pretty good at chess

  20. I am on my way to the office 🤮 I am now at my house 🤓 I am trying not to be a pain 😂 Yeah, that looks right.

  21. Have you tried not having a daily coffee. They say that is the key becoming rich.

  22. I hadn’t tried that. All this time I thought it was my avocado toast…

  23. It's 2023 my guy, you can't just be eating alien boogers on wheat no more.

  24. Yes. Nowhere near enough residential construction for the amount of people who moved here.

  25. That’s only a bit of it. The new housing that IS being built is a bunch of “luxury condos” that charge $1500 or more for a studio. It’s absurd, that’s half my pay (sometimes more than half) and they get away with it because it’s “luxury.” Finding a cheap apartment is nearly impossible. I’m almost at my limit and about to move.
