1. Other belated response, and I think that the ending of the original film makes those problems even worse. It's like they literally just added more of the same, made a terrible twist, and made the ending not mysterious anymore. They didn't add anything, and took away a lot which is the worst a sequel can be. But since it is so similar to the original people like it without thinking about it's flaws. Also it overshadowing better slashers from the same year does it no favors.

  2. Well obviously ACLS / BLS and or pals. And obviously basic lab interpreting/anatomy / physiology knowledge.

  3. Completed bs based on one med school? This is called recency bias.

  4. Most physicians aren't renowned national experts. Doesn't mean they're not great physicians.

  5. “I suggest you start kissing anything that even remotely resembles an ass”

  6. "And a great creature arose from the depths. Tokyo is that way Maria".

  7. Based upon your report, they deceived you when they hired you. They told you things that have been blatantly untrue.

  8. You need to be 100% certain about the malpractice thing. Do not assume they are accurate.

  9. I assume you don't have anything else with motors and wheels, or not much. The rule is less than 50% of your income in cars/wheel things.

  10. Look up Pedro Rodrigues Filho - he is supposedly the 'Brazilian Dexter'!

  11. It sounds like a terms sheet is similar to an offer letter? If so, not contractually binding but if you renege you might burn that bridge permanently.

  12. Reneging on a terms sheet is not close to the same as reneging on a contract.

  13. Such a great movie. I don't think It's too much of a mindbender and it actually gets pretty emotional.

  14. All you can do is jump into help when need arises which is expected.

  15. I was about to say the same thing. Miami Metro PD sucked. No one ever notices that the serial killers are ending up dead or missing. I'm just on S5 but so far that's my comment.

  16. Miami Metro is probably the worst run police department in police TV show history.

  17. 8-4:30 M-F. Strictly outpatient no call or weekends. 30 min appts, max of 16 pts daily will slowly work up to this though. Shadowing first 2 weeks. They really place a big emphasis on teaching which is a huge pro for me. I’ll be seeing patients between 8 different providers and working with 2 other APPs. Very nice clinic with good support staff.

  18. As far as I know it's not always the highest paying specialty. I would definitely negotiate for more.

  19. *Update $110k base salary. $5k sign on bonus after 30 days and $10k retention bonus after 2 years. Guaranteed yearly merit based and COL raises as well, merit bonus amount is determined by SP on yearly evaluations. Unfortunately they didn’t budge much on base salary when I first countered since it’s a very large GI group so base pay is pretty standard based on years of experience similar to many hospital positions like my current job. That’s why they’re adding the bonus. Will be accepting offer as I feel like this is fair with the included bonus and there is room for growth. Reassuring especially with low turn over since they have kept the other two APPs long term like 5+ years.

  20. Not trying to be a jerk but I have gotten some pushback on this sub about being underpaid. The reason I stay is my 5 minute commute. It's amazing. I come home at lunch and walk my dog, decompress, get away from annoying coworkers and eat my own healthy food in my own kitchen. It's hard to put a dollar on that, but it's a lot

  21. You could post a 150k job offer here and somebody would tell you to run away/insulting offer. Lol.

  22. This is true. I’ve seen plenty saying $100 an hour minimum it’s just delusional. Not to say folks can’t get there demanding on the city, need, cost, speciality etc but for many it’s damn hard.

  23. And if you want that insanely high salary, you're likely either going to be working like a madman or living somewhere that negates a bunch of the salary from cost of living

  24. False, this mentality is why marriages don’t work out these days. Your wife is your wife. You guys are partners. If you don’t like her showing her ass to the entire beach then she should respect that and not do it. Just as men we respect our wives and don’t do things they don’t like. It’s not a one way street. I’m so tired of seeing these opinions today about how your insecure or your controlling for simply setting boundaries.

  25. They said that two of their letters are from academic professionals already.

  26. Why not find a middle ground? What about going to 2 days a week at your PCE job, and finding a 3-day a week job elsewhere paying more? And get by.

  27. They do have call rooms but there certainly are times you have to go 24 hours. Just depends on when people come in

  28. Then what happens in the event that somebody is about to physically pass out?

  29. I don’t know what to tell you. I would never personally do it as a career but we just work our preceptors hours🤷🏼‍♂️

  30. I get that. Not disputing that. But would check the school's handbook though, to confirm there are no limits.

  31. Agree, it seems like about half of jobs nowadays are “shadow 2 weeks, here’s a full panel of patients, if you have questions grab a doc”

  32. Yep. Last conference I went to I wanted to stand up and shout “nobody cares about the name change, you’re wasting time and money on an imaginary problem”

  33. The financial part of this is based on a complete assumption. Plenty of people manage their money poorly together. There's nothing that says you're going to manage your money well together just because you stayed together from high school.

  34. You obviously know that's not the point of PA school. Focus now on networking and clinically improving.

  35. I think it's great that you don't have social media. Good for you.
