I joined DIR last year and it's been great so far because I have a great management team, especially compared to the management I had at my last dept. My team is also new from management to staff, but management knows the work that the unit does, which is a far cry from my last dept. The work is good too, not too hard and not too easy. Team is also supportive with one another, which is nice a plus.
No negotiation on salary. I have bachelor and decades of experience before joining the state and they started me at range D.
