1. Nice work, any tips for someone trying to figure out how to paint camp patterns?

  2. Idk I just like em. I dont care about winning. I get to print a mullet for my warboss paint it blonde and make him Waaagh the bounty hunter.

  3. This is an awesome idea. Do you have any pictures you could share?

  4. That is impressive. Would you mind sharing some tips on building death guard rhinos? Such as what bits you used and is any of that sculpted in green stuff? Trying to make mine look less like a chaos rhino and more death guard, but they currently look like a preschooler’s play doh experiment.

  5. Are there any pokemon that you know he particularly likes?

  6. Evening everyone, just thought I drop by and give a small update. I am still enjoying myself but playing more time trials right now. Progress is coming along but I still have a lot to improve on. Right now I am focused on keeping it smooth and on the track. Thank you all for the tips and I hope to continue to work on those things and see you all on the track real soon.

  7. Yes, you need to launch GHub every time before using the wheel. The wheel will do it's setup spin once when it gets powered on and then it will do that spinning again when GHub is launched. This all sounds normal to me if that is what you are having to do, not sure about what 'calibration' in GHub is as I can't recall ever doing that. Just launch the software, let the wheel spin, and you should be good.

  8. Thank you for clarifying all that for me. Hope you have a great day.

  9. +1 on racing against AI - not only do you get to learn the layout of the track but you also get to practice against other cars on the track that are actually racing (without impacting your IR or SR). I typically won't live race until Thur or Friday, using Tue->Wed to learn the track and feel comfortable with other racers on the field (I don't qualify against the AI - I put myself somewhere in the middle of the pack so I can fight my way out); then I review the incidents to see what I could have done to avoid them.

  10. Someone on the iRacing sub recommended this kind of schedule as well. So in the beginning of the week, when you are practicing against the AI, what kind of things do you look for when reviewing the incidents. I guess one of my worries I have anytime I queue up for a race is that I'll negatively impact someone else's race. most of my incidents seem to come from track limits or loss of control.

  11. exactly :) I look to see if I ran into someone because I took a turn too quick or wasn't listening to my spotter - I look for situations where I was too aggressive that lead to the incident, etc. In all the incident reviews I've only found one incident where the AI turned into me and took me out - all other cases I wasn't keeping my line.

  12. Great, thank you, I'll give this a try over the next few weeks. Thanks again.

  13. The captain has illuminated the fasten seatbelt sign. Please ensure your tray table is up, your seat back is in the upright position and seat belt is fastened securely across your lap.

  14. New to Warhammer and Orks, but have have been planning for Orktober.

  15. Your usual plastic cement should do the job. Hold it together for a minute then set it down and brace it with something so it doesn’t move. Then don’t mess with it for a couple hours for good measure.

  16. I agree with drilling pins holes. Takes a little practice the first few times. Then you can use a little green stuff or spruce glue to fill any gaps. Some light sanding and your back, good as new.

  17. I just wish it scaled some when it Master Mode. I enjoy the more difficult content and tougher enemies, but feel like this mechanic makes me skips more fights.

  18. Brutes were easier for me to paint. I just started collecting/painting a few months ago when my son and I split the dominion box. Kruleboyz were fun to paint but all that details took some getting used to. My next purchase was a box of brutes because I thought they looked cool. Assembling and painting them was a much better experience.

  19. Get an ice rider vmax league battle deck. Relatively cheap and quite good out of the box.

  20. Thank you for the deck. I’ll keep an eye out for it.

  21. There are some cards that are used in nearly every deck in some capacity: quick ball, marnie, professors research, bosses orders and some other cards which are used in some more specific decks like evolution incense, rare candy, training cort, path to the peek, temple sinnoh and ultra ball. These are the some of the most widely used trainer cards to be a foundation for some decks, also there are some pokemon that are used in a lot of decks like the intelion line, manaphy, 25th anniversary mew or radiant greninja. And if you want to get a budget yet very competitive deck i would recommend getting a lunatone-solrock list.

  22. Thank you for the advice and card recommendations.

  23. My son started playing Stormcast so we bought him the Dominion Boxset for just birthday. I helped him build all the models and got hooked playing with him as he learned. So now I’m a kruleboyz warboss.

  24. Both the armies in Dominion look epic! Debating between it and Maggotkin of Nurgle.

  25. Kruelboyz were a lot of fun to paint. We decided to use a lot of greens and grey. My son painted the stormcast in gold and purple. I think we had more fun building and painting than playing the game.

  26. Love the paint. I am in the same boat as you, just finished building to combat patrol box and trying to figure out what to work on next. What models are you thinking about adding to your collection next?

  27. Ordered a bunch of Kommandos, got a really cheap deal for them, 2 used dakkajets, painted, but I'm going to give them a personal touch, and a squiggbuggy, should all arrive this week 😁 that's around 1100ish points with the combat patrol, the other 900 points I still have no idea, Im thinking maybe a bunch of kitbashed looted vehicles from other factions

  28. Which options did you chose for all your commandos? I bought a box and just went for one of each. Now I kind of want a second box to build more base commandos.

  29. GW is just about to release a new white spray paint as well as new contrast paints, I’d definitely recommend checking those out!

  30. I'll check them out. We just watched a few videos that featured the older version and army speed paints.

  31. Rule of cool. Pick which one you like the most.

  32. I just realized I did not reply and thank you for the advice. I hope you have a wonderful day!

  33. It's great running into you here too, hope you are doing well. Still cheering for Fnatic? I have been keeping up with Professional League so I hope they are doing well.

  34. I cheer for Fnatic since S1 and will continue to do so. I will also continue to cheer for ex Fnatic members like Caps, Rekkles and Febiven :)

  35. I should have said the C side levels did not hold me up like the three I mentioned. Those three were where I had the most deaths and/or frustration.

  36. I have seen VII recommended a lot. Seems like that game has a special place in a lot of people's heart. I guess what I am looking for is the handful of games the come to mind when someone mentions Final Fantasy. That way if someone asks if I have played one I can share my thoughts and have a great discussion.

  37. the first one i played was ff7 on the psx back in the late 90s, that was dope. moving forward to 1999, ff8 on the psx also dope.

  38. I got to watch my kids play the remake of Final Fantasy VII. The game looks amazing but I'd like to start with something more turned based. Was the original VII turn based?

  39. It is not possible to screw up a Character at all. At most you have to do an intermediate step extra, but at the very end, every Character has the same potential.

  40. Yeah I've been watching my kids play it. Looks tough but fun.

  41. I would say final fantasy will be a little more kid friendly. I’m not saying persona is some pornogame or anything it just deals with some really mature subjects.

  42. Hahaha, I understand what you trying to say. I did a quick Google search and agree it's a little much. It's ashame though. It's replayability sounds fun and a lot like what I am looking for.

  43. The way I started playing competitive Pokémon is by watching draft league battles like the wbe and watching some good poketubers play competitive on pokemon showdown. Watching good players like wolfeyVGC, aDrive, KyleAye, Lord Emvee, so on... I got relatively good at the game, I'd recommend you to do the same.

  44. Thanks, I have been watching some videos here and there and I have to say it's amazing how deep this game is. There's a lot of skills involved that are similar to chess.

  45. Pokemon is really complex, so I'd say the first thing to do is let them go through one or two of the recent games. They should learn how pokemon works and it's mechanics, moves, type advantages, team composition, etc.

  46. He has played through the latest game a few times and one of the others on the 3ds. I think he is starting to get interested in playing and meeting others. At least that what I am hoping comes out of this.

  47. Whilst you aren't technically wrong about Open World Games being vast, they do tend to have specific missions and goals you need to achieve before wandering off into the distance.

  48. I didn't mean to sound dismissive about open world games. A just got to a point in the few that I've tried where I didn't have a clue where to go or what to do next. I enjoy playing them blind, (I believe that's the right term) looking up information online spoils the mystery for me. Eventually I'll circle back and try them again. Zelda may be a better starter game. I've heard others say the same thing you have, that the game directs you very well.

  49. Don't play Celeste it will be way to hard for you I recommend shovel Knight

  50. I'm slowly making progress on Celeste. If I ever get to a point where I can't continue, I'll probably go bug the fine folks on the Celeste Sub. I've added Shovel Knight to my wish list. Is there a certain version and platform I should play? I noticed there are quite a few out there.
