1. It’s pretty well documented that there’s an inverse relationship between competence and confidence

  2. That’s not necessarily true. In my profession, confidence comes from demonstrated competence

  3. You sound like a friend of mine. Due to her addictive personality, it’s like a game of whack-a-mole. She gets one under control and another one pops up.

  4. Kenya straight out called Cynthia dumb for owning a wine shop/bar and not being knowledgeable about wine!! 😆

  5. It’s not… owning a business is different than operating one. Amazon marketplace sells lace fronts… do you think Bezos knows how to do an install?

  6. Jeff Bezos owns Amazon not the companies that sell on Amazon. How ignorant.

  7. Meanwhile, on Summer House Martha’s Vineyard: new friend group, new drama, new mess. The cast are actual friends/have real connections with each other. Season 1 was a good time. Season 2 started last month. If you’re stateside and have Peacock, give an episode or two a go!

  8. Ugh. I haven’t finished the 1st episode of season 2 because it’s so boring.

  9. With that mullet he looks like a cross between Carl and Kyle :-)

  10. It's also infantilising women. I'm quite sure Amanda's mother could balance a check book - it's simple math, for God's sake. This strong man/weak woman dynamic is kind of ick.

  11. I agree. Kyle is one of those people wired to work hard and push hard on any idea. It's not for everyone, but some people love that lifestyle. Amanda clearly doesn't. She wants a 9-5 guy who will be home to have pre-dinner drinks with her as she puts a roast in the oven. Kyle will never be that kind of person.

  12. My impression is that she doesn’t want to work hard herself and she wants Kyle around as little as possible.

  13. But they still end up being in the episode. Bravo usually pays by episode so they could have gotten out of paying Danielle last week but included her going out for drinks.

  14. Danielle is not a full time cast member this year.

  15. I thought this was a really good moment for Lindsey and kinda helped me see hers and Carl’s relationship differently. He did think she was going to change when they started dating again and is shocked that she didn’t. She is nothing but consistent since day one on this show. So why would he think she’d be different for him? Also, I get she’s a hard person to argue with but he also hides behind her when he explains why he’s treating his friends badly or why he’s sitting idly as their relationship goes up in flames around him. He needs to be more active in his own life.

  16. Actually she stopped drinking which is why their relationship went well for a while.

  17. I wouldve complained about that room cuz it seems like the girl has one to herself with 2 beds. Like no maam

  18. They could have moved a second woman in and given one of the guys who will have a GF visit the other room.

  19. am i the only one who feels kinda sad for jasmine you can tell she really has been excluded😭

  20. She excluded herself last year by acting superior for catching a man.

  21. I just binged winter house S3 this week and am watching current summer house. I feel like they won’t make it to having kids…I want the best for each of them but I wouldn’t miss either of them on the show. Kyle’s schtick has worn off imo!

  22. I’m over him pissing outside, not washing his hands and then going back to whatever he’s doing.

  23. Of course I do, it’s a logical choice, they should move to Amanda’s nj suburb, have Paige and Craig follow suit that will kind of balance their own argument too as Craig is in Carolina’s and Paige is from upstate New York, jersey would be a great decision to settle their disagreement of where to live. Then we got two bravo couples in NJ and we can have an east coast version of The Valley. And we could call it The Valley: the East Coast edition. That would work as a title too because Amanda and family are from the Raritan VALLEY in NJ. Brilliant, I gotta tell producers

  24. I don’t think NYC people move to Jersey. Upstate NY is where they move to.

  25. A drinking problem isn’t just drinking a lot. It’s about your relationship with alcohol.

  26. I’m not an iced tea fan, hard or otherwise. SH has become product placement for Loverboy.

  27. Too bad she has a grammatical error. It should be exes not ex’s. But then again she didn’t say his two smartest exes…

  28. My closet is the size of a small bedroom. Won't lie. It's pretty awesome.

  29. Most people don’t really judge on neighborhood like that here. The SH cast does make some odd choices though. Ex, Paige could live anywhere she wants with her budget, but the area she lives in isn’t really a neighborhood at all - it’s the equivalent of living in a mall.

  30. Well on the last episode of SH she was complaining about the lack of natural light so it doesn’t seem to be working out for her.

  31. Why would she need to borrow money at all? Doesn’t she get a buttload of spousal support?!

  32. If you’re treating him like a child, you’re not his safe space.

  33. Alternatively, never take them off and buy a motorbike with your savings on tires!

  34. You wouldn’t save money because if you drive snow tires in the heat, it ruins them.

  35. Only a rube would be fooled by the Spring of deception.

  36. Eh I’m giving him a chance but to go after Paige multiple times knowing she has a serious boyfriend is shady

  37. I don’t dislike Jesse, I think him and west are exactly what Kyle has been hoping for in the house for literally all the seasons lol. But to play devils advocate maybe other things were happening that we weren’t shown. Maybe he was hitting on Paige a little too much off camera or they didn’t include that much of footage. I mean that footage of him clearly talking to Paige and her ignoring him could be two things, she actually couldn’t hear him or she was actually ignoring him (I’ve done that before to a guy who wouldn’t get the hint). I won’t pass any further judgement until we see the full season, but he did say 1. He likes girls who are taken and 2. He likes Paige. We’re just going to have to see how it pans out, and Amanda is extremely over dramatic a lot of the time so I take a lot of what she says with a grain of salt. Until Paige says she’s uncomfortable than we know.

  38. Not married but do live with my gf and I feel like you and I are living in similar situations. I work 60+ hrs a week and still have to come home to help do housework while she’s a SAHM. She doesn’t have to cook since I’m trying to lose weight. Laundry is done maybe every couple of days. Our oldest is in school so she only has to watch our son throughout the day. I send all the payments, do the house repairs, etc.

  39. Why would laundry need to be done every couple days?

  40. No. The silent treatment is not healthy.

  41. The silent treatment is a common technique used by narcissists. It’s considered to be emotional abuse.

  42. Ordinarily I’d say he should have whipped out a pen and paper but Millennials don’t know how.

  43. Yep. Any lawyer doing this would be violating his state's ethics rules and OP would be reporting him there.

  44. In my province in Canada, lawyers can date clients. It’s a bad practice but my friend is currently dating a former client whom she represented in the divorce.

  45. If she hired a divorce lawyer, she was already leaving you dude.

  46. As a licensed therapist in the US- this is wrong. All licensed therapists can diagnose- and in fact have to in order to bill insurances.

  47. I’m Canadian so I’m not wrong. In your country, anyone can diagnose apparently. We take mental illness seriously in Canada and only licensed medical doctors who have specialized in psychiatry can diagnose.

  48. Are you saying we don’t take it seriously? And no not anyone can diagnose. Therapists who hold masters degrees diagnose. We are licensed and trained to do diagnostic testing.

  49. I’m saying I would not go to someone with a masters degree to diagnose me with a broken arm or bipolar disorder. So yes If your country lets less qualified people diagnose, then it’s not being taken seriously.

  50. No matter what triggered this, you can’t make someone love you. You need to shift towards coparenting, dividing assets etc

  51. Yea. I get that men and women can be just friends, but I don’t have a single friend I feel a need to communicate with daily. And I don’t know any straight guy who ever was like that with a guy friend, only ever with a woman. So the daily communication because they’re friends thing is somewhat incriminating IMO.

  52. No they can’t just be friends. A guy who is just friends with a woman just hasn’t gotten around to shooting his shot yet.

  53. I took my ex virginity, he was the 1st man I lived with, we were each others 1st loves, he stuck by me when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 19. Over the years, we hooked up her me and there but once I got into a serious relationship things were purely on a friendship level. Now, he’s basically married with a child and I’m single with 2 kids. We reminisce BUT we don’t cross that line. We are friends, we check in on each other weekly and sometimes daily. We send each other funny cat videos on instagram but almost never talk on the phone or “hang out.”we are friends and he will forever be one of my best friends.

  54. Sure but if it doesn’t work out with his partner, he may want to start hooking up again. Men are like “well you’re single and I’m single so why wouldn’t we hook up?”.

  55. If you want to make friends, try meetup.com
