1. It’s probably required by law that they give you a reason

  2. Where do you live that your employer has to have a reason to fire you? Especially when you're not even considered an actual employee of Door Dash

  3. Yeah like kanan still stumbles around like a drunk from time to time, the light side kinda gives you what you need only when necessary

  4. Not even. It's not that the Force is holding back or something. It's that Kanan is holding back, because using the Force takes energy, and using it all the time would be exhausting.

  5. Y'all need to stop being mildlyinterested and get mildlyinfuriated over this dumb shit

  6. Seems like a no-brainer to me that the average kid is bored by school and engaged by a movie

  7. I built a 50 floor sugarcane tower and it takes about a half hour to harvest it. By the time I’m done, the bottom floors have regrown. I get so many stacks of paper from one harvest.

  8. I plant a ~10x10 square of bamboo, go do whatever I want for a bit, come smack it all with a sword, and can get tons of bamboo for basically no effort. Only hard part is finding the bamboo in the first place (depending on your world).

  9. Would there be anything wrong with a compromise between the two systems?

  10. I honestly have no reason to move to the new system, 5e is alright

  11. The correct answer for me will be something halfway between. There's no doubt 5e could use tweaking, and I like plenty of the ideas One D&D is showing. Who's going to stop me from running an amalgamation of the best of both?

  12. Which? To maybe not wear earrings while on the field? It's a good way to start gauges.

  13. How would that start gauges exactly? Not like someone's gonna pull on your earring, you're wearing a helmet.

  14. The whole world loved you, but you were my friend

  15. I wish there was a bit more of a mechanical reason to pick your weapon. The choice is mostly superficial because you can definitely find a weapon with the traits you need and the damage you want, and the difference between bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing comes up so infrequently that you might as well consider it flavor.

  16. It would’ve been better if Kenobi was about to end Vader but hesitated and couldn’t do it. Then Vader force pushes him away and escapes, filled when anger over his defeat.

  17. Don't tell me you're actually calling Obi Wan being unable to murder Anakin in RotS some sort of unexplained flaw. You even watch the movie?

  18. And his voice going in and out of the helmet mic. Just a beautifully done scene, especially with the lightsaber colors changing back and forth with the voice

  19. The lightsaber colors changed? I don't think I noticed that.

  20. Nerds misunderstanding the thing they nerd about in order to argue about the thing? Say it ain't so!

  21. You’re the reason deepfakes are going to fool most of the country. You believe everything you see.

  22. Because it's not possible. Unless she's got some crazy fast reflexes, the phone is doomed by the time she sees it. She's got about ~1 second between her seeing it and it falling to actually process what's happening and then dive to the ground to try and stop it. Not gonna happen.

  23. A) why record the jump, no one would really care. B) why would you ever have your phone in that pocket C) why do a surprise face and put your hands to your face while the phone is still within reach D) why are there so many videos of this same thing happening suddenly circulating the internet

  24. A) People record dumb, less impressive stuff all the time. Not unbelievable. B) You ever seen women's clothing? They don't have many pocket options. My own sister keeps her phone sticking out of her pocket like that too. Dumb to make the jump with the phone, but not unbelievable to keep your phone in the only pockets you've got. C) Because she was surprised? Because that was the reflex instead of throwing herself to the ground? Because she expected like anyone would that it would land safely? Who knows. Still not unbelievable. D) First I've seen of it, so I can't speak to that

  25. You do the same thing you do for every force attack (and really every attack (and really every roll)). d20 + the relevant ability modifier + your proficiency bonus

  26. It’s more about maintaining a good working relationship with my employers

  27. Why does your employer need to know about it? Why would your employer care?

  28. I thought you could only crosspost a post to a sub once? And it would stop you from being able to cross post it to that sub if someone already did? Am I wrong?

  29. Actually, I saw and ad on YouTube earlier for a new competitor of theirs, and was interested until they started talking about being “inclusive of all world views”, aka, it’ll be a right wing echo chamber.

  30. I've been seeing that too. I don't even wanna take the time to remember the name of it, because their dumb commercials shitting on YouTube for *checks notes* having a content policy *gasp!* makes it sound like it's gonna be awful.

  31. Vimeo has a good shot but sadly its niche is for short films, instructional videos, and demo reels.

  32. Vimeo has no chance of competing with YouTube, because the business model is completely different. You pay Vimeo to host your content. You don't make any money from it. Unless every video you post has a really well paying ad in it, you're not making any money.

  33. Clean what up? It's looking pretty clean to me. The overlapping images is intentional, and the whole point of the post.

  34. Exactly, because it's a joint decision! It's weird to leave the decision entirely up to the person who proposes (usually the man).

  35. It's a joint decision even if it's a surprise. Whoever is being proposed to gets the final word on whether or not they're getting married, just as was shown in this post.

  36. I find it strange to think of how a crab would've evolved to have that prehensile snap bracelet back end just dragging behind it.

  37. I see, but after some weeks that behavior stops. Dog in video probably has some chronic pain though as it's probably been more that just a few weeks

  38. Why do you assume that the behavior would stop after a few weeks? If the dog has had an injury or pain for a long time, and then it goes away, that doesn't immediately break the conditioning of "If I stand on this leg, it will hurt". The dog would have to experiment with the leg to learn it doesn't hurt anymore, but why would they when they've been conditioned to think that it will hurt?
