1. Evidently my 17y old Ford Taurus transmission. I’m pretty damn sure it’s the original one and it’s still fine.

  2. That paint is in pretty damn good shape. My 07s silver paint looks like ass.

  3. From what I was told it was a one owner car and the lady kept it in the garage from the day she bought it in 03. Original window sticker and everything.

  4. Good stuff. Hope she lasts a long time. My 07 has 190,800 miles on her. I’m at least the 3rd owner. I bought it as my first car at the end of July 2023. It had been sitting for a long time, but I came along and woke it back up by driving it about 50 miles a day into and out of LA. Hoping it keeps going a while beyond 200k before I get something new.

  5. Calibrate the Apple TVs output using an iPhone with FaceID.

  6. The 2020 13” and 2019 16” MacBook Pros are the only TouchBar Intel Macs worth buying. Those or the 13” M1/M2 MacBook Pros

  7. Leather is a genuinely great material. It’s relatively durable, has a great hand feel, and lasts a long time. There’s a reason luxury cars have leather interiors.

  8. No one else thinks it's sad that you need to put premium gas in a consumer grade Honda car so it runs properly? Seems unacceptable to me. I've always liked Honda and Toyota equally but these 1.5 problems . . . .

  9. OK so I read up on this very briefly. Looks like they had to start "recommending" 91 because of detonation issues. Premium in a Civic - wow.

  10. The name plate on the car has nothing to do with the engine. It’s not the 70s anymore where everything was a dumb V6/V8 that would run on lighter fluid. Turbo charged engines need special care and they always have.

  11. 108dpi at a regular desk distance is pretty close to retina. I’ve done the calculation before.

  12. The original Retina resolution of the iPhone 4 was three times that. Macs going back to the ‘90s had a resolution of 96dpi. 108dpi is nowhere near Retina resolution.

  13. Part of the retina calculation is viewing distance. Jesus is like you people can’t read or think critically.

  14. I would equip my paper clip with a Romulan cloaking device. Thus hiding the paper clip from visual detection.

  15. I second Star Trek Online. It’s an MMO, and it has both a “starship mode” and a “character mode” that you switch between as you play the story missions. Purely starship modes are available.

  16. You can do that in Star Trek online? I thought you only controlled a person. I’ll have to check that out.

  17. Story missions in the game take you between commanding a starship and being on a planet or the interior of other starships. There are also missions and events that take place entirely in a starship.

  18. Ordered mine around the same time as you. Nada. They took my money instantly though!

  19. The bandwidth utilization is all over the place. How is the client connected to the internet? Is it hardwired and on the same LAN? Is it on Wi-Fi? What wireless speeds can the shield even pull down? Also what is the stream activity showing in the dashboard?

  20. Shield/client is in another home but hardwired to a 500mbps line.

  21. Can you confirm that you can playback that file over your local network on one of your own clients? That thing is huge at 161Mbps.

  22. So you took it to a shop and suddenly the car is not running right? Where did you go? A oil change place or a shop you’ve never been too? An oil change should not have affected your engines ability to run right. Go back and say it was fine until they touched it. Don’t give them money. Go to another place if the first place won’t fix it.

  23. So far I’ve narrowed it down to the MAF sensor, I took the air filter out and let it run, idled like crap, put it back in and now it runs like a dream, I don’t know if that makes sense at all but I’m beyond confused

  24. MAF will cause that, engine can’t detect how much air it’s getting and it won’t run right. Did the MAF get dirty during the oil change? It’s really weird that it would act up only after a service.

  25. This is the server software, not the front end Mac app so I doubt it.

  26. I’d say an Accord has the best interior and leg room, but a Camry is solid second.

  27. Depends on what year, etc. I had a 2001 Rav4 and that thing was so roomy it wasn't funny. The back seat was so comfortable and spacious. The 2023 Rav4 (rental), even though its almost twice as large as the 01, it felt cramped with all the bs they put in cars these days.

  28. Should look at the new 11th gen accords. They are pretty huge on the inside.

  29. I ordered mine in July 2023. Still no plates. Been 8 months.

  30. If you’re in a cold climate, I would get the block heater. It will help in the long run. Difficult starts introduce wear which introduces cost.

  31. Finder on macOS has a tags feature with customizable colors and names. Such a feature does not exist on Windows, at least not natively. You can have multiple tags on an individual file as well. Pretty powerful.

  32. How interesting that all your information seems to come from 15 years ago. Almost like you know nothing about technology.

  33. And I’m sure you are a foremost authority on all things tech.

  34. Bro are you acoustic? Do you know how to read your own comments?
