I'm no Grandmaster, but Black had two passed pawns on the other side of the board; if anything it seemed to me Black had all the winning chances and the best White could do is to play for the draw. So why not play Rg6 and go for it?

But his schedule of 2024 is full now he may play more tournaments then any one and slowly but surely will get his confidence and shape back it cant be worse then this but at-least talking about it and playing the game with so much struggle he is going through is amazing . Chessbase invited him to their headquarters talked to him had training session on how to use the chessbase engines to analyze and prepare for matches which to their surprise ding didn’t know much of it .. king will be back
The more i look at the pairing the more i lean towards Nepo to win it he will crush ju wenjun today and will be 2/2 and he is very dangerous player when he gets momentum . Round 3 he will have black against vidit and round 4 white against donchenko . Good chance he may get 4/4 or 3.5/4 .
