1. Fantastic fit. My 18 year old daughter would have snagged this in a second.

  2. She would wear it with wranglers and cowboy boots, probably.

  3. The style is called ā€œmercury glassā€. Even the new shit from places like west elm. That doesnā€™t mean they have actual mercury in them. Iā€™m trying to determine if this is old or just some contemporary item from pottery barn.

  4. Ugh. This happened to me recently when my daughter was washing my pink gooseberry Cinderella bowl, the only one I had, the 401? I was crushed. Threw it away and then learned later I could have sent it off to someone to make jewelry out of it.

  5. Oh no not the gooseberry!!! šŸ˜± My condolences!

  6. Thatā€™s exactly what I said when I heard and saw what happened, ā€œoh no, not the gooseberry!ā€

  7. I know this is older, but did you identify? Does it have any other labels?

  8. Omg. How? Did you offer $14 and they said, ā€œok.ā€ Wow. I wish shit like this happened to me.

  9. You are welcome to come meet me personally and see for yourself. Thanks about the writing šŸ˜

  10. You left your kidsā€¦ā€¦. Say no more

  11. Yeah, she totally lost me at ā€œI left the kids.ā€

  12. Is that a full forest fancies Cinderella set?

  13. Damn that was a great buy. First fancies isnā€™t my absolute fave, but I like it enough that Iā€™d buy it for my collection.

  14. I saw a pink one of these in good condition recently sell for $50 with free shipping on eBay.

  15. Thank you!! I have noticed this and have pondered on the morality. i've seen it on youtube lives as well and facebook selling groups, but more on youtube lives.

  16. Thatā€™s why I posted here, and Iā€™m glad at least one person agrees with me. I think itā€™s worth discussing, and as youā€™ve put it, pondering the morality of it all.

  17. How is she conning people? They know what they're buying.

  18. Iā€™ve already explained it in detail. People can still be victims even if they are looking at what they are buying. Theyā€™re caught up in the hype. Theyā€™ve drank the kool-aid. Thereā€™s some mental health issues at play and some interesting psychology regarding the dynamics of auctions and gambling, which is essentially whatā€™s happening. People buy things they donā€™t need or want all the time. Itā€™s called compulsive shopping and hoarding. And people go into to massive credit card debt doing it.

  19. Seems thrift stores never look at the 'Sold' itemsšŸ˜”. Their prices are ridiculous.

  20. I always say to them, ā€œI could list a dog turd on eBay for $500, doesnā€™t make it worth $500.ā€

  21. Impossible to tell. You didnā€™t tell us how much the lease is and itā€™s hard to tell whatā€™s there. Looks like thereā€™s not much of anything good in there. Wonā€™t take long to empty.

  22. His nameā€™s Nico Ratoff, and he writes childrenā€™s books. For instance Scissor Jack, which tells the tale of him being arrested for drunkenly joy-riding in the scissor jack left on the aviation bike path while the basket bridge was being built.

  23. Well Iā€™ve seen him dancing for about I wanna say 10 years now maybe moreā€¦ I remember first seeing him by Reid Park when my school went on a field trip there. So Iā€™d say heā€™s in his late 40s right?

  24. Haha oh man I remember having to do that! šŸ¤£ I bet you they donā€™t anymoreā€¦I just met a new shopper I shouldā€™ve asked her! Lol

  25. Iā€™m a new shopper and I had to scan my DL. Also did my first shipt order yesterday and she didnā€™t tip!

  26. As long as you donā€™t go buck wild, a Costco membership can be very financially beneficial. I mostly buy garbage bags, oxyclean, paper towels, toilet paper, butter, and eggs there, and I save a ton of money each year over what I would spend buying those items from the big box stores. A box of the garbage bags lasts us about 9 months in our house!

  27. The more people keeping buying, the more they'll keep building. The dumb masses just sip it up on the regular. Every morning, every afternoon and maybe 3-4 for the kids on their way home. We created this.

  28. I had this same feeling of loathing for this planet when I started to see the ā€œspring Black Fridayā€ advertisements pop up all over town.

  29. Well it was either that or a storage facility or a car wash...

  30. Seriously, what is with all of the car washes going up lately? Are they really that profitable of a business? Also wondering if car washes recycle the grey water? Anyone know?

  31. I think they meant the bag. Be careful doing it in the tub though, because Pyrex and porcelain are natural enemies. If you have a porcelain tub and you drop the Pyrex, it most certainly would break.

  32. Many moons ago when I was 21 years old and in therapy my therapist advised me to put a designated amount of money on the side to shop with so that there is no guilt when I need some shop therapy. It's only a problem if you're breaking the bank. Some people run, some eat, some do drugs, some drink... We all have vices not all of them have to be bad. Happy shopping!

  33. The dress is a bit big on you but I LOVE IT. And all the other stuff you found is fabulous too!

  34. Iā€™m planing to move east in the next year, and I suspect the thrifting will be much better. I may be in trouble. But yes, gotta set those types of rules and follow them.

  35. Iā€™m still kicking myself. But I guess we should be rejoicing for the person who did buy it for such a great price. Hopefully it went to a collector and not a reseller. I feel a little bad that the person who sold it didnā€™t realize the set sells for much much more than she was asking. She also had an Amish butter print and butterfly gold Cinderella bowl, the size down from the largest, and sold those for $30 for the pair. I imagine she mustā€™ve had a ton of messages about it.

  36. I seriously am in deep regret over this one. This pattern in this color way is my most highly coveted, as I know it is for many.

  37. I might have bought them for that price. Theyā€™re kind of cute.

  38. Oh ā€”I was not being critical OP! I just thought people would like to know that .

  39. I know, I realized later. Itā€™s so easy for me to jump to assuming that people are being mean on the internet and Iā€™m sorry. The internet can be a mean place. But I think this sub is a good one, and the info you shared is good for other to know ā¤ļø
