1. I’m liking the anthology more than the original album

  2. In the best way and I love it, and so does the 15 year old me that sang Mean in my bedroom when I was dramatic lmao

  3. Genuine question-what does this mean and why does everyone say it’s obviously Matty >.< I’m so confused

  4. Think high schooler wearing an off the rack oversized suit for the first time. Thats my interpretation.

  5. I know JW irl and they definitely do have a ‘look’, I just never associated MH with that before.

  6. I thought the same thing! The line about high horses felt like debut/fearless. She even sounded younger.

  7. I buy clothes for me and my step kids almost exclusively at secondhand stores, the only exception being underthings and swim suits (because I’ll never find my size swimsuit secondhand).

  8. Has anyone donated to Savers? I’ve seen the bin when you walk in the front door but I’m guessing that’s for clothing/small items? Is there a driveway like at goodwill for the bigger stuff?

  9. The one in Cedar Park has a few parking spots at the front right end for donations. When you park, you drive over the bell signal so someone will know you're there and come out to get your stuff. They'll usually also give you a coupon for donating.

  10. Girl, Interrupted is a memoir but was excellent and it fits the Bell Jar vibe. I re-read it every few years.

  11. Have you read all of JD Salinger's other works yet? I'd start with those especially those following the Glass Family. They are all somber, depressing, and beautiful.

  12. I second this. The first thing I did after falling in love with Catcher was read Franny and Zooey and all the short stories I could find.

  13. She’s only 7, and I must say I’d forgotten a lot of these. I think she’s going to have to stop at the end of OOTP, she’s ploughed through them so quickly I hadn’t stopped to think about how dark they get. She’s not going to be happy with me, but she’s definitely not ready for some of the later stuff.

  14. I read the first 5 around her age too but I had to wait for the later books since they weren’t out yet. I’m sure she’ll be a little miffed at having to put them down, but I definitely agree that they get kinda dark.

  15. So, the deal with that is, the Bible says something about 4400 people being extra blessed in heaven or something? But JW believe in a literal interpretation so they think only 4400 people EVER get to go to Heaven. The rest of the people who deserve it, get paradise on Earth. (My grandparents were JWs. I am not, but I still absorbed a lot of info as a kid)

  16. Wouldn't you want to not spread the word then? So there's less competition.

  17. Well, anyone can be part of paradise on earth. From my understanding, all the slots for Heaven have been filled for centuries. You’d have to be a prophet for something like that.

  18. It’s not cannibalism in that instance. It’s Anthrophagy.

  19. I had a coworker that did his best work when high. Boss man would actually tell him ‘go out and smoke’ when he was off his game and it always worked. Dude was just perpetually high and that’s how he knew how to work.

  20. The cleanest place I’ve found are Washatopia’s. They have 4 or 5 different sizes of washers, so you can use the smaller washers and save money. Or, you can do one massive load in the $5 washer. When you get there, you have to go to the counter and “rent” a card for $10, then load the card with funds. You use the card to run all the machines. If you don’t want to keep the card when you’re done, just turn it in and get your $10 back. I recommend that you walk around the establishment first and look at the prices on the machines before you get a card.

  21. I second Washatopia. That’s where I went regularly before I had a W/D and it was the most affordable. Plus the card means never having to worry about quarters.

  22. Leto is a freak but he’s a really good actor. Requiem for a Dream and Dallas Buyers Club are the best 2 that come to mind.

  23. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but it’s your home and you should decorate how you like. A little clutter isn’t inherently bad, and if you like it, then that’s fine. I don’t understand a couple of your pieces, but if they mean a lot to you, then you should be able to have them up in your home. If they don’t mean anything, then maybe remove or replace with something that does.

  24. The George McKenna Story? I’m not sure if anyone gets shot, but the summary mentions gang violence.

  25. Target app shows me that it’s available in all 3 N Austin Targets and the one at Lakeline. You can click while on the item itself to see ‘in stock’ locations-that way you know where it’s closest to you(:

  26. Thank you for taking your time to check that , but unfortunately the site says “in stock” but is more referencing the actual cereal not the “special edition” :(

  27. Ah. Gotcha. Well if you’ve been looking for weeks, it might be that the limited stock of the ‘special edition’ is already gone.

  28. I take pictures of my food to send to my dad to make him jealous when I’m eating something I know he’d enjoy. He does the same for me. Or when one of us cooks something we want to show off. Nothing wrong with that

  29. The Prince’s Tale. So much happens tying the whole series together.
