While I agree with you, I think the thing that has kept Aramark in place is simply that NPS has put them in a position where they are too big to fail. The Yosemite contract is massive. I’m not sure how they could transfer the contract over to some other company without shutting the Park down for weeks. With the transition from DNC to Aramark, there was a plan and someone ready to take over once DNC’s contract ended. The way I understand they would go about things with a canceled contract is an immediate change, and that is almost impossible in a park as big as Yosemite. All of this is my opinion though, as I used to live there and still love the park very much, while I hate Aramark. I’m rooting for them to be booted but I just don’t think it’s possible anymore.

Well thanks. I was in the percussion and pit in 07 and 08. They took us to LA in California to perform in the Christmas parade and we won state in 08. The band directors in Petal are extremely passionate about what they do and the kids they teach. Plus there was zero stigma about being in the band there. Alot of our football team would throw on an instrument and march at half time so everyone was proud of the band.
My time at Harrison Central was ‘09-‘12, but y’all were still a powerhouse. I think y’all won 2 of those 3 years. Sadly my school was pretty low income and it was surprising we got as far as we did. I’m still proud of it but even now 10 years later I still look sideways at the name Petal. Lol. Never unfriendly, they were just better.
One of the biggest examples in my opinion is that Voldemort had a kid and they go to Hogwarts. Nowhere does it show that Voldemort had a willingness to produce an offspring, especially seeing as how his intention was to become immortal. It’s just bad writing.

As someone who lost their dad this year, around the same time as OP, get close to him. Call, text, irritate him. I think about my dad every day and all I want to do is call him. I used to always call right before he started eating, incidentally of course. He always answered. The way he answered I could tell he was staring sideways at a plate of warm food. I miss him so much.
We never bonded really, he chose to be with a woman that wanted nothing to do with us and they wound up having two more daughters together. He is very much self absorbed and always has been. Moms the same, just never abandoned us. I think everything happens for a reason. Maybe we will have a better relationship one day.
Everyone is different. I see your point. My dad was a big alcoholic for most of my childhood. It was rough. Eventually I told him I couldn’t be around him when he was drinking. He quit cold turkey one day and I made sure for the rest of his life he knew how proud and impressed I was. Like I say, everyone is different and I don’t know you or your father, but if I can give any advice it’s to make the effort before it’s too late. Once it’s too late you’ll look back at the opportunities you had and may wish you had done differently. It’s all up to you, though. I’m just giving advice based off of my own life experiences.

In some professions it’s less necessary but a month can really slow an employer that you do care, you have just found a better opportunity. It gives them the option to have you train someone in your duties.
