How does the staff know the exact camera number? There's like 100 cameras in that store. I was thinking maybe aisle and then I just realized I was overthinking shit.

Depends on a lot of factors I suppose, especially amount of traffic. I have 2 S330 and they do stay topped up even in this dreary UK weather. But I get like 20 events/day (>50% of detection) and my camera is South-facing.
Bro not anymore. The recent update a few weeks ago fixed everything. Before the update, if I changed the colour of the bulbs too fast, they would go unresponsive. If I turned the lights on and off too quick, they would break. Scenes would break all the time... Ever since the new upgrade I haven't been able to make them go unresponsive even once. (Even when I spammed the lights on and off, or changed the colour really fast)
Harman Kardon are the ones I had, I noticed that even the Bowers and Wilkins had this issue… Look through my profile to see the madness I’ve been facing with my car🤣🤣

Only time I won't use it is when I want to enjoy the ride and enjoy driving. My car has advanced cruise control so it can even do lane changes for me but I LOVEE driving so when I'm actually in the mood to drive, I'll keep it off.
Could you have blown a cone or dome? The volume you seem to be listening to is pretty high and the music pretty heavy on low frequencies. open up the panels to see if there’s visible damage
Room Eq Wizard (REW). Definitely a learning curve. Jump in a diy speaker Reddit and see if someone would be willing to help you or teach you to measure.
Apple Music does have the “better quality” but playing via CarPlay degrades said quality quite a bit. It’s not the same as having a native app catered towards the car (Spotify). I haven’t tried it yet but definitely will try out Spotify tonight and see if there’s a major difference. It’ll be annoying if it does though I mainly use Apple Music
Hmm interesting, I did a blind test with my friend and we were both able to tell when AM was playing… that was in my old car though… It was a very small difference but it was there
I can’t speak on Spotify since I never use it in the car, especially not the native app in idrive. I’d imagine though streaming via Spotify in CarPlay vs the Spotify native app would yield 2 different outcomes. The native app should give the best quality in the car.
All I can say is I recently had a new ix as a loaner with h/k and I was surprised at how poor the audio quality was. I’m spoiled with b&w in my 5 series, but still. I’ve had h/k in older BMW’s and don’t remember it being this bad. Hope bmw does right by you. I don’t think they care about good audio anymore. It’s a very tiny niche of their customer base that does, and b&w is offered for them.
Exactly, the HK in the X5 was all that I wanted. I tried out the B&W in the iX yesterday and that also has the distortion so it is just a defect within the design.

Wow, I didn’t know this. So there will be 0 software updates to 2022 and 2023 models? This is wild, but then again I’m used to the Tesla model.

They fixed it. BMW Corp directed them to shave down something in the door panel that connects to the speakers or something.

Nope, the car came like this… I’ve also tried 12 different 2024 iX’s and all of them have this issue. The 2 2023 models I tried were great.
