1. seems just great! are the sides with vertical bars? any ideas how to hang stuff below the second floor as there are no hooks? I was thinking about this cage, really cool that you made a post like this :)

  2. Yes, the sides have vertical bars! As for hanging stuff below, I put some chains that go from one side to the other and hang things on the rings of the chains!

  3. sounds realistic yeah, also do the doors close securely? and is the middle part removable maybe in case? :D

  4. YES???? The brown and spotted ones are dumbo and the white is standart! holy crap what are the odds

  5. omgg don't say white also looks overall white but is actually husky

  6. Nooo not really! My white one was actually a himalayian!

  7. haha at least one bit less crazy but still

  8. The brown and white one’s head looks like it’s a part of the white one’s body lol. Cute pic!

  9. my quirky Carolans hunts wet tissues, lunges at them like crazy, which makes cleaning near him kinda dangerous because my fingers are gotten along with it often, but still pretty cute and funny.

  10. needing at least 2-3 rats is basic info you should know before getting them. do proper research and get more or rehome her, otherwise that's basically abuse.

  11. as a little tip you can try sifting your paper pellets, I started doing that and sooo much dust and tiny particles came out. pretty sure it helped with cleanliness and sneezes that my guys also had, but almost none now :)

  12. you don't. unless there's something on them that they can't/mustn't clean off themselves, and still, water is stressful for many, better to use baby wipes, tissues and such

  13. try letting them meet on a neutral clean territory for only a little while, maybe. like, separate them before they try anything, might be less than 5 minutes, let them look at each other, give them a treat, put them back to their cages. that will supposedly be a positive reinforcement for them to be together because nothing bad happens, they don't have the time to get too agitated and then get a treat after. one downside is that they were feeders so maybe their temperament is extra difficult (so sad such thing even exists). this method worked for me with a guy who was attacking others quite severely before, i did get him neutered though, so maybe that can be tried too. with their temperament and such, maybe it'll take much longer time, but could be possible I suppose. best of luck! :)

  14. it’s usually not for long at all and i was sitting up to put them back when they went at it the last time and it was def less than 5 min :(. i always try to separate quick but they are very fast and it doesn’t take much to cause an injury like that. albert never really likes taking treats from me when he’s not in his cage so the treat method is kinda difficult but maybe i’ll try that again with something new or maybe a liquid of sorts?

  15. seems like a neuter is in order if they go out of their way to attack so fast. overall I think you can also give them treats right after you put them back to cages, when doing intros, also you can put liquid treats on them for interaction, but that's when things go better.

  16. apparently the caption didn't quite load. we have Carolans chilling with each of the bros, then drama lol

  17. finally! cities are the pests to animals, not the other way aroundd

  18. Omg I'm so happy you all made some really good progress!

  19. as an update, i do now have a cage of likely-besties!

  20. yeah well I was so very tired and stressed trying to make it work and preparing the cage haha, but I suppose the ratties did a lot too to accept each other :D

  21. I cannot for the life of me find anything like this BUT, if you just search up parrot sinks/bathtubs there's a bunch of similar options as I'm certain this is what this sink is.

  22. right, I will check it out sometime! gotta see if my boys even like water first haha, it's just so cute

  23. Most of my babies will no eat carrot or apple until it’s the last thing on the plate😫

  24. mine like carrots but drop disgraceful apples :')

  25. I'm more surprised when they don't like some of these, one of my guys doesn't even acknowledge nice malt and meat cat treats :')

  26. 🍾🌹🦦🐍🥚🍰🍰🦦 or 🍾🇮🇹

  27. I'd rather recommend wiping her with a baby wipe or a wet towel/tissue, should be less stressful and easier. or just leave it be, rattos usually clean themselves well unless there's something dangerous on them
