1. They will get turned back in to DLA, then they will be put up for reutilization by law enforcement, foreign military sale, or natty guard/reserve units.

  2. Purple church closed during COVID and never came back. Owner sold the building and now it's all being turned into vacation condos

  3. Or Home Depot, TF do you need your dog at Home Depot if it’s not a support animal?

  4. Eh, I take my dog to the golf course with me if it's one that allows dogs. I also have her leashed and attached to my push cart the whole round though, I don't get the people that let their dogs roam loose on the course.

  5. Check usajobs. There is always something entry level on there and promotions are quick if you're competent

  6. I use game time and usually can find a better deal than I would on Ticketmaster.

  7. Boonie caps should be the standard head piece of the uniform. PCs and berets are silly. No one can change my mind on this.

  8. As a member of the boon crew I agree with your stance.

  9. Also a 6672 here, worked in and managed a few warehouses and now I'm with DLA for the last 5 years.

  10. There's a game we used to play that had coins. I don't know the real name but it had a coin for the 3 putt, bunker, triple/ double bogey, birdie, eagle, water hazard. So as you play, the coins transfer from one person to the next, which adds up the score on a given coin and whoever ends the round with specific coins is either winning or losing money It's really random and can be fun.

  11. Vegas golf. My girlfriend bought it for me this year and it's a good time

  12. They are probably talking about the Columbia factory store. Columbia employees, military, government and first responders can all shop there at a significant discount. I believe it's near the TaylorMade offices

  13. No problem, alternative retail is pretty awesome sometimes too.

  14. What if you find a club 40-50 feet up a hillside buried in a few months of weed growth while searching for your ball on a slow Tuesday afternoon?

  15. Yeah and thats like a whole other thing. Why are the roads constructed so poorly in the first place that just a bunch of rain fucks them up so bad? Back east, roads that were already tore up from several winters would hold together better under heavy rains then the roads typically do here, and I was in hilly places adjacent to Appalachia, not flatlands that might be less comparable to the local terrain.

  16. I'm from Lawrence county Ohio so I know exactly what you're talking about. The roads are worse here honestly. I think it's a combination of poor drainage and not correctly packing down the sub layers under the pavement that make it so bad every time we have heavy rain here. I work down near national city and it's even worse than Oceanside.

  17. Definitely an important aspect. One bad parent can rob a lot of fun and positive moments from a team. Having a team, players and parents, that get along well makes it all so much fun.

  18. Our team had a parent last season that tried fighting opposing coaches, constantly yelled at us and questioned every decision we made in games, and had his kid such a confused mess about who to listen to during games that it didn't matter if he was the most talented kid in the league. The one game his dad didn't show up to he went 3/3 with a walk and a home run. Also posted 4 shutout innings as a pitcher. Dude was an absolute cancer to our team.

  19. That’s terrible. The bad part is they can’t see that they actively keep their child from achieving great things by making them uncomfortable and in fear. Poor kid has to deal with that on a daily basis.

  20. I had to walk into the stands a few times in the middle of the game to tell him to shut up while he was shit talking the teenage umpires. He was a coach for another team the previous season and tried to fight one of our kids grandparents and got himself banned from coaching in the league for that stunt.

  21. I witnessed 2 retirement ceremonies for specialists

  22. Are Spring training audio broadcasts available through the mlb app? I see audacy on the list but not them

  23. They also said they'll have civilians overseeing it. That sounds like not a big difference but it is. When a govvie is there to actually make contractors do stuff it's better. Most of those base housing contractors have basically no oversight, the company does all the maintenance and no government official is actually doing anything. A base commander has (somehow) a lot more on his mind. It might also be that he can't really directly deal with the contractors, as the contract is made with HQMC far far away.

  24. Yeah, I work as a COR on DOD contracts and my coworkers or myself are there every day to make sure the contractor does what they are supposed to do and meets deadlines. It's sad they don't assign people to the same role with the housing contracts considering how much they directly impact people.

  25. Thanks for the recommendation on Pendleton. Assuming there’s some regular flyovers on that course. I’ll have to check it out!

  26. I play Pendleton a few times a month. It's a fun course, but the pace of play can be very slow and the greens aren't in the best of shape. If you're non-dod or veteran status then Oceanside municipal is the better course for the price compared to Pendleton.

  27. I have been double charged and saved by the receipt checkers twice using the self checkout. It's been Kirkland golf balls both times.

  28. I had this happen in November and I just sent the support agent the confirmation of my dropoff after 3 weeks of not having my refund issued. They credited my account within about 5 minutes

  29. I hate the flex they are the worst fj - go with a traditions or pro sl for fj - other good ones: Jordan low1 but that’s the high end of your range , adidas makes some good cheaper options (but not codechoas I’ve had to pair go bad in the heel after only 3 months each)

  30. I was checking out the traditions on Amazon, but just thought they didn't look like much of a walking shoe definitely down to try something different though. These flex are less comfortable than my hockey skates.

  31. The traditions are pretty good. I’ve walked a good handful of rounds in them. I prefer the premier series though as they feel more stable. I do use a different insole though (I use superfeet) and I have yet to find a more comfortable shoe. Granted, I also have very wide feet so my options are very limited to basically FJ and New Balance.

  32. I use super feet in my skates and they definitely hold up to the hype. And yeah I switch between new balance and Brooks for my every day shoe so I get the selection issue.

  33. Mandatory extra 50 yards horizontally on the right side of each fairway

  34. It's not just bats, there are different ball specs for tee ball, 8 and under, 10u, 12u, 14u, high school, college, minor leagues and AAA and the MLB. What's the market for MLB spec baseballs? Miniscule. Do you hear Rawlings whining about it?

  35. I mean, between MLB and AAA, they use about 700,000 baseballs per season just in games. Add in all the collectibles sold at the park and it's not too small of a number.

  36. The benefit you get from having a Hope card is pretty great too. Down here in Charleston you get a discount at Kiawah Island that is better than the already great military discount that they offer

  37. How do you get a hope card? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on the website.

  38. I'm currently halfway through it in California and it's been great and some of the tips/lessons have already helped a lot as a new golfer. Can't recommend it enough.

  39. Was it cut content? Last I heard, it was a scene that could naturally occur in the game, but nobody had figured out how to do it. I just am not sure if I missed any update for that scene or not.

  40. Yeah that dialogue played out yesterday for me when I finally stopped being distracted and went to get karlach
