1. This mission is so bad. I don’t think the developers understand that making the game harder doesn’t make it better

  2. It’s obvious that they just cranked up difficulty for Lightfall and pat themselves on the back. Their mission design and incessant content recycling combined with this just shows that they are uninspired. The Final Shape is going to have to be better than Forsaken for Destiny 2 to have an audience in July.

  3. If I had not found this thread I would have given up on my annual seal. This is frankly horrible level design. I could not find where to 'observe' this conversation at the beginning of the season, stopped playing after the dungeon released. I just tried again and couldn't figure it out without going on Reddit. Classic Destiny moment.

  4. I learned this from another user. I have a homebase2 and a different set of cameras but the options are probably the same. On the lower part of your eufy app go to Security, select modes, select your setup, select Customize. It will allow you to enable or disable notifications for each camera.

  5. Had to Google and find this to do it. Ridiculous

  6. Definitely waiting for that visionOS release. Safari on the Vision Pro is like a blast to the past while simultaneously being awesome. Like a nice car with stickers plastered all over it.

  7. To be honest, I played this game nonstop no matter what from 2019 through late 2023. Before that, I played Destiny 1 from 2014-2016 and Destiny 2 at launch, then CoO and Warmind briefly in 2018. I just stopped caring after a while to be honest.

  8. The Apple rep at our store showed us a video going over its features. I thought she mentioned something about pre-orders, but didn't go into specifics. If we don't have it at launch we may carry it at some point, otherwise why would she play it up to us if we aren't going to carry it at some point?

  9. This is good to know. At least they are thinking about it even if they haven't committed. Best Buy financing options at 18 months to 24 months would be preferable to Apple's singular $300/mo for 12 months.

  10. Got the same here. Upgraded to M3 Max 14in MBP from M1 Max Mac Studio. Studio Display totally worth the initial investment so I can upgrade my system as I feel but the desktop experience stays consistent.

  11. I wanted the M3 Max chip more than I wanted another 2” of display real estate to be totally honest. $3199 was the most I was willing to pay either way.

  12. I will find here and there that an iOS app I use is supported on the Mac. Most of the time I try it and it seems like the dev just left the Mac toggle on by mistake, other times the apps are decently usable. I wish iOS and iPadOS app installations were better standardized for use on Apple Silicon.

  13. Do you need an Apple TV now or when a new one is announced? That’s the question. I’d just buy now and use the new one in another room if you find value in the next model.

  14. I have used the Studio Display since July 2022 with a Mac Studio. The price is steep but there is no other display like it. Obviously gorgeous and great pixel density that only Apple seems to prioritize.

  15. I’ll add that having an M3 MacBook Pro that arrived last week, the Studio Display while technologically inferior to the MBP’s screen is no slouch. It would obviously be better with ProMotion technology and higher peak brightness. My workflow is not handicapped by 60Hz and I’m not a photo editor or avid movie watcher at my computer. It may not have the peak brightness for HDR highlights but the 27in Retina display is my preferred use case.

  16. I have only gotten the fans going using benchmarks or playing rocket league. It’s pretty great. Even at high rpm the fan frequency is not an annoying whine sound.

  17. I have never used the always on display even back when it first came out around the Series 4 or 5, didn’t use it on the 14 Pro Max or now on 15 Pro Max. You are not looking at the watch 24/7, it’s kinda stupid to burn the battery just because you can IMO. Battery life and not having to charge as often is more of a priority than ‘look at my digital watch everyone’. Granted anyone can do what they want with their device. Just doesn’t align with my priorities.

  18. I used to keep the boxes for everything ever when it came to electronics, but when you find yourself having to load boxes of empty boxes when you move… time to shed the dead weight. I keep the box for my currently in-use products in the event that I need to sell or ship them. Once I upgrade, bet your ass the box is gone from the last one.

  19. Thank you! But $3,200 for 14" is out of my price range, and I'd prefer to upgrade to a 16" screen (currently on a 14") which I think is $3,500 for the M3 Max.

  20. You can currently get the 14in M3 Max base model (14 core / 30 GPU core / 36GB RAM) for $2999 on Best Buy as part of a Black Friday sale. Other models will have various sale amounts, i.e. $50-200 off. I ordered after the event and mine arrived today. I got them to adjust the price because I paid retail before it shipped. No issues they just took care of it. Not to sway you but figured the info is useful.

  21. That’s helpful, thank you! I would have to go with the 16” because I loathe to get a smaller screen than I currently have, but any discount on a new MacBook is great.

  22. Totally understandable. I've been using the M1 Max Mac Studio since it released, before that I was using an M1 MacBook Air from that launch. So for me I get a tad bit more laptop screen than I'm used to when I'm not using clamshell mode with the Studio Display. The M3 Max is a crazy improvement over my M1 Max Mac Studio. +30% on single core and +50% on multicore performance. Coming from an Intel machine you're likely to be blown away regardless of your choice. Welcome aboard the Apple Silicon train. Lol.

  23. Any display you can connect to via USB-C, HDMI, or DisplayPort will work as a monitor (you will need a USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C adapter for DisplayPort). I used a 4K 120Hz Acer monitor on my M1 Max Mac Studio for 6ish months before I switched over to the Studio display. At times I use them both at the same time while working. Any keyboard or mouse you can connect over USB-A or USB-C will work.

  24. Yeah man, M1 pro and spring for 38 GB of RAM if you have the cash. It's not just a model refresh, it's a complete generational upgrade. It's better in every way.

  25. I assume you’re referring to the M3 Pro here.. Before I ordered, I considered an M3 Pro with 36GB RAM (+$400). I noticed that for an additional $200 I could get the entry level M3 Max that already includes 36GB at minimum. I ended up going for the 14 inch M3 Max. Coming from an M1 Max Mac Studio I didn’t really like the idea of decreasing cores anyways.

  26. I use Safari on my Macs, Chrome on my PCs. Safari on my iPhone and iPad. The only reason I don't use Safari on Windows is it lost support like 10 years ago.

  27. For what it's worth, I'm not having these issues. 10.1, AWU2. Default settings. Sitting at 82% after charging to 100% about 14 hours ago.

  28. No problems here, I dropped my Ultra 2 on the puck to install the update yesterday 29 hours ago and I'm sitting at 33%. Last charged to 63%.

  29. If I were in college and looking for a laptop I'd get the 15 inch MacBook Air with either 16GB or 24GB of RAM. If you don't feel the need for the extra display real estate you could go 13 inch MacBook Air with 16GB or 24GB of RAM for a bit less. You most likely do not need 24GB unless you just have the cash to spend for future-proofing (as much as it can be helped). Don't get an 8GB RAM model of anything.

  30. Having same problem.. regretting updating to 17.0 before major release this week.. hoping this gets sorted out sooner than later for us emulator users.

  31. There is a workaround that works right now. Check this out from another Redditor:

  32. I've had a M1 Max Mac Studio from the original launch pre orders and it has been great. Problem-free. Studio Display is great too, just wish it was 5K 120Hz rather than 60Hz. Knew what I was getting into when I bought it though so that is not a fault in the product.

  33. Got my Apple Watch Ultra 2 yesterday. Charged to 100% and removed from the charger at 7:03pm. I have worn it since and worked out for 71 minutes, battery is sitting at 68% at 5:17pm the next day. Pretty fantastic
