1. On September 12, 2001, I saw Rollins Band in a mid-sized venue and was standing against the stage. As soon as the music started, these two burly biker-looking dudes charged the stage through the barely-nascent mosh pit, shoving people out of their way, and proceeded to get really aggressive with the pit. As the crowd was moving, if someone got near or in front of them they would grab the person and shove them out of the way, all the while elbowing and yanking their way closer to the stage. In the middle of the second song, when they got close enough, Henry stood on a stage monitor and grabbed one of the by the hair, shook his head, and gave him whatfor. By the time he was done, security came and kicked them out. Baller flex, right there. They should've sussed out that, on that day especially, no-one was in any mood for bullshit.

  2. This is fucking wild and I love it. Joe deserves whatever the fuck is happening here.

  3. TIL David Dastmalchian and I have the exact same taste in music lol

  4. He could have been, but didn't have the opportunity to find the right angle.

  5. That's a bit high to me insofar as the guitar itself, but with that crazy pickup system it might be worth it. Seagulls are great instruments.

  6. The only guy who could be listed as "hit by bus" and I think "yeah, that's on brand".

  7. I just wasn't at all interested in them after WBBP and DD came out; then they played at a local festival and just blew me away live. Wasn't until much later I realized how fortunate I was to see Stabbing Westward, God Lives Underwater, and 2wo at the same show in my own town.

  8. They didn’t tell him it was a work.

  9. I wanna believe that noone told Papa Khan this was gonna happen and they let him weep for his boy for a good 30 minutes before someone let him know.

  10. I'm enjoying seeing talent openly telling shit-talking trolls to STFU.

  11. Why is it a prerequisite to couple praise for AEW with, “I don’t always agree with their booking” or “they don’t do everything right.” Like, you could say that for every wrestling promotion, but AEW is the one where that always has to be repeated. Why?

  12. Because Reddit is full of people who are fans of talking shit instead of talking wrestling and we've let them influence how we act as fans.

  13. Couple of dirt sheet writers tweet "wow this is best match ever" because they want to cater to that fan base for subscription and clicks, and also keep contacts for media scrum passes and wrestler interviews.

  14. Just because you didn't like the build doesnt mean there wasn't one.

  15. Of all the issues I had with the trailer, his voice was not one. He sounded like a plausible young Optimus, a decent approximation of Cullen.

  16. Veer was portrayed as the next monster heel and got basically dropped with no warning when he got cold. WWE has a longstanding issue with shoving talent in people's faces then dropping them unceremoniously when they don't get over (an issue which seems to be going away, thankfully). The bummer is that he had a good presentation and if they'd let him get over naturally he could've been great.

  17. That would explain why they don't do intergender.

  18. Well she did have that match with Suzuki years ago...

  19. As a mostly satisfied Kansan, AEW can come up here and run shows all they want, and buy billboards up and down I35 with Nyla's face on them. We'll happily take what OK jackasses don't want.

  20. They're just parroting the same corrosive behavior enabled by their political allies and, to be honest, half the IWC and many of the comments on this sub and the other wrestling subs. No one's surprised, stupid will stupid.

  21. I am still in disbelief and SO happy that one of my fav wrestlers for years now liked my work enough to make it his official merch. I've said for years now that he had a bright future, and to be part of it in a way is just surreal and crazy and I'll never forget this.

  22. Congrats friend! I don't know you but I'm damn proud đź‘Š

  23. Roger Daltrey's solo band was terrific - when I saw them I think it was basically the current lineup of The Who except instead of Pete Townsend on guitar it was Pete's brother Simon. They opened for Clapton, who was boring as shit.

  24. Atari Teenage Riot, when they opened for Rage Against the Machine

  25. ATR basically hated each other at that point. I remember that show and coming in as an ATR fan and it was ... not what I expected. Interesting for very different reasons.

  26. Xiu Xiu opening for Swans in 2014. Jamie Stewart came on without the band, sat down on stage with a small synth and used it to make a high-pitched screeching noise for about 25 minutes.

  27. So funny story, I saw that tour in Dallas and watch Jamie's set in the back with Thor and Norman, all of us kinda leaning on the bar, and I loved it but the crowd was soooooo confused. I've since seen Xiu Xiu a couple of times and have sworn to myself I will never miss them when they're around.

  28. Republic is a rebranded product from a Chinese manufacturer. I would expect it to be real, noone is making fake Republics, Royalls, etc. That model lists for about 850 so I would expect a shop to sell used for around 600, private sale maybe 500 (but I would offer 400 if I was buying). This is assuming it's in good condition with no damage.

  29. I figured out most people in the iwc don't actually like wrestling, they just like shitting on things. The wrestling audience is good sized but the percentage that are actually wrestling fans is far less than one would expect. Im trying to sort out the toxic playgrounds and not read comments (clearly I failed, I ended up here, but no one's perfect 🤷).

  30. Stagger Lee by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, but it's more of a bluesy rumble than an outright bass thump. Also unapologetically filthy.
