Random question, but what medium are you learning German through? I’ve been learning Danish on and off for a couple years on Duolingo but I’ve heard they’ve sorta gone downhill during that time with AI structuring sentences instead of actual people (among other things).
Yeah duolingo is good for languages like spanish Id say, I used it for 3 years for that and it was fine. I tried German once and it was weird. Ive got every device like my console and phone in German so I'm just learning it through that. Though I should start properly.
They’re two different (but interrelated) disciplines; I was wondering why so many comments aren’t about rocks. I was expecting one of the top comments to be ‘Canadian Shield’ bc you know, Canadian Shield.
I saw this on the metric Facebook group and was wondering what she meant by ‘it goes up’? I’m genuinely confused by what she means; does she not know how numbers work??
From what I can find, code 3 trauma seems to be non life threatening injuries, so at least it’s a bit hopeful? I’m not sure how accurate that is though
Incomprehensible 😁
Put another way: Hot Springs is the smallest county in its state. It is the largest county in the US to have this distinction.
That’s only because Alaska has boroughs, not counties.
The smallest borough in Alaska is
Uh, silver lining, I guess 🤷
Good to know my ancestors were also tummy-ache survivors

Thanks for the response! I’ve heard setting your phone to your target language is one of the best ways to learn that language.
Canadian Shield
Everyone here is using "geological" incorrectly. Geology is the study of rocks and stuff. Geography and Geology are not interchangeable terms.

You always catch up to them at red light after passing you 15 over 😂 feels incredible when you do.
When this happens, I always say to myself, “Wow, look how far you got!” Indescribable feeling of joy when that happens lol.

Cops will just have a laugh and go on to drive the exact same way.
They’d find a way to see that the bicyclists get charged with something instead of the driver 🙄
Actually Russia is 55 miles from the USA (across the Bering Strait)
Closer to ~4 km to each other (Diomede Islands)

“By car”
“In 1,000 km, continue straight on through the Bering Strait.”
The Bering Straight.
Ahhh, thanks for the clarification. I got it confused with the Bering Third Roundabout Exit.
I second this, in my humble opinion.
I support this, if I’m being honest.
Never cook again
Unilaterally rescinding OP’s cooking powers
