Some parents in Barcelona organized a bike ride to school for just five kids. Now entire neighborhoods are joining. They call it Bicibús – or Bike Bus.

  1. For the rest of us, here are the conversions, ordered from top to bottom, left to right:

  2. Darién Gap between Turbo, Colombia and Yaviza, Panama has a length of 106 km, out of a total length of Pan-American Highway length of ~30,000 km, which equates to about 0.35 % of the total length.

  3. The current official highest registered air temperature on Earth is 56.7 °C (134.1 °F), recorded on 10 July 1913 at Furnace Creek Ranch, in Death Valley in the United States.

  4. The 56.7 °C figure is dubious. The highest reliably recorded air temperature on Earth is instead

  5. A little late here, but for anyone like me wondering, the tidal wave of molasses was 7.6 m high.

  6. Kudos on the bike! But please please please wear socks, it’s January my man🥶

  7. This would be much crazier news if a beach town in the US state of Washington had equaled the hottest day in Australia

  8. Bro, don't bring that metric trash to California.

  9. I’m sure California has many two-litre bottles of soda. Metric is already in the US, whether you like it or not.

  10. Hm. My clearly poorly-worded point is that climate change is NOT a myth, despite what many people in this forsaken country would have us believe. Sorry for the miscommunication.

  11. Ah yes, a 2 tonne death machine is much safer than a lightweight bicycle

  12. As far as temperatures go, keep in mind that -20 °C is really cold and 40 °C is really hot. There are a couple sayings/jingles that I’ve come across reading about metric conversion in other countries (Australia mostly); one is “Zero is freezing, 10 is not, 20 is nice and 30 is hot.” The other is “30 is hot, 20 is nice; 10 is chilly and 0 is ice.”

  13. Only an American would be stupid enough to travel abroad and rent a tank-sized vehicle smh

  14. If you don’t get that pun, your brain might be scrambled.

  15. I live in Nebraska and they were saying “we don’t use it”, “it’s not American”; that sort of thing. (Idk if that would be considered “bashing”, but that’s the best word I can think of to describe it.)

  16. Liechtenstein. Vaduz has an area of 17.3 km2, while the entire country is just 160 km2. Though with just under 6000 people it's not clear if that really counts as a city.

  17. San Marino’s capital takes up 11.58 % of the country’s area.

  18. You’re probably one of those people who think that urban freeway construction did/does more good than harm smh

  19. For anyone else like me, the cop was driving 130-160 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

  20. His eyes stares in “fuck racism” stare…
