1. The Bitchuation Room. It's American and the host is a comedian, but v good for feminist progressive politics.

  2. I tried looking for this movie on my various streaming services and have not been able to find it yet. Live in canada.

  3. The city provides a free consultation where a team comes to assess your space and your gardening goals, and provide advice on what plants are suitable. I highly recommend checking it out, they were able to provide great feedback for our garden even though we already had a lot of well established plants and decent gardening knowledge.

  4. Thanks for posting this! I just signed up. My backyard is super wet and soggy, I've been meaning to get some advice as to how to draw it out maybe with planting some grass is or something.

  5. Hi, I really am confused as to why you're living in poverty. You seem like a really interesting amazing skilled person. You post on reddit, you make jewelry, you raise chickens, you sound perfectly capable of having a job. Obviously if you have a disability there should be accommodations, but if you can raise chickens and make jewelry and use the computer you can definitely work. I don't understand why you're on disability. The problem with disability is you just can't live on it. In order to live properly you really need a job, and you seem like an amazing person who's very employable, I am so confused. I've just applied for a job that is mostly work from home, it's on the phone using a computer, they provide the computer, why wouldn't you be employment. No shade on you just wondering. You seem like you could be a very productive part of society rather than getting a benefit which seems to have isolated you and reduced your self-esteem. And mental health etc.

  6. A number of reasons. I understand where you are coming from, and I have considered working. I have a number of issues which I deal with. Health, pain, obviously some mental, and while conceivably I could do any number of types of jobs, it is a matter of when I am able to do them, or have any motivation to do them at any given time, or can even get up in the morning or stay awake all day. The jewelery thing I do here and there when I feel I am able. I don't answer to anybody and there is no one to disappoint with my efforts. The chickens I got more for eggs, and honestly their care is so minute you wouldn't believe it. They also calm my mind when I watch them doing stuff. Kinda like my dog. He forces me to get some exercise and is company. I can live off of disability. If nothing major pops up. Just unfortunate so many things happening at once. I am not going to repeat a comment I mentioned to someone else on here, as I don't want another reddit cares pop up. But, I have my life 90% figured out. I just didn't foresee covid and how the world's reaction to it would make life that much harder. As I said in the post, it was more to vent than anything else.

  7. Which is why we pretty much need a general strike across the board.

  8. There is a free CRA Community Tax Clinic on Saturday morning from 9am-12noon at Westwood PS, we are in the Community Room, the room with the big windows off the parking lot.

  9. Gourmet sandwiches and hot takeaway foods at Market Fresh, at Paisley and Norfolk. Nice quality prices range from $6 for pizza slices to $9-12 for a hearty deli sandwich, outdoor seating only.

  10. It's funny, I had the worst customer service at a Guelph library branch yesterday, and I was thinking I really should complain. If I figure out how to submit a complaint I will post it here, you really should complain, if that person is being paid and they're on a personal call for an hour and a half that is an outrageously egregious use of taxpayer resources. If it was unpaid time it's still pretty bad form.

  11. Sounds like Zogi’s Cafe and Convenience on Highway 124, northeast of Guelph. The gas station is an ESSO now, but until a few years ago it was XTR. I vaguely recall seeing a sign for samosas displayed in the window.

  12. Yes! This is the one, it used to be called XTR. The samosas were amazing, veggie was good, but the chicken and beef were amazing I think they also had lamb. Pretty sure the owner said his wife makes them. I'm going to be driving that way in a couple days I will see if they're still selling them and if they're still good LOL will report back.

  13. 15-year-old could sign up to do some community/ volunteer work? That way it would be structured time, and you would meet new people within a controlled context (best for introverts). What are his interests?
