This is SO true! A lot of my male friends had parents like this when they were growing up and these parents would be completely furious with them if they lost a game or they didn't do well in the game they were playing, etc. Like.....fucking furious with them.
I found that during my volunteering classes at a public park in a depressed neighborhood wasn't this way. Free classes.. I even paid out of my own pocket for dance shoes and propper attire. Most of the parents came infrequently as they had stuff to do. I had to make a living and volunteering doesn't do that. One of my saddest things to quit that.
