1. Thanks, those areas look interesting too. It looks like those Duncansby stairs are kind of back behind houses, not really connected to any public beach areas. Are the local residents okay with tourists wandering around these residential areas looking for ocean accesses? I've been to places in the US where beaches are technically open to the public, but the locals really don't want tourists trying to get to them through their neighborhoods.

  2. The duncansby road stairs aren’t great, super rocky and mainly used by fishermen. No one would care if you are wandering around there though!

  3. As a local it’s definitely pacific parade out at army bay, stairs were fixed a few years ago. Best at high tide but while you are out there go do some hikes around Shakespeare park, great views and nice bush tracks. I’m partial to Stanmore bay beach on the coopers road end, typical nz beach and usually pretty quiet.

  4. yea this is the one I'm looking at. Have you ordered from them before? is the packaging solid?

  5. Order from there all the time, packaging great and super fast delivery. Plus sometimes they give you jelly beans!

  6. 2am and it’s started again in whangaparaoa. Just managed to get things slightly dry over the last 2 days but the rain is really heavy and leaking in again.

  7. The tax code you use “M SL” will keep deducting the student loan amount based on your weekly earnings even after you have completely paid your student loan off. Once you have paid your loan off, change your tax code with your employer to the correct tax code without the student loan part of the tax code “SL”

  8. Interesting, so if I have all papers for semester 1, 2 and summer school do they get paid at once at the start of the year or at the start of each semester? I was under the impression it was the start of each semester which would mean I was switching tax codes every few months. Can’t imagine payroll being too impressed with that.

  9. I lived there for 6 months few years ago and one thing that never got old was wandering around the forum at night with a cornetto after a few beers. They way everything is all lit up and with less people makes it amazing. I’m going back this year for the 3rd time and very keen to see Augustus mausoleum which was closed while I was there last, and hopefully the work is complete on largo do Torre Argentina to be able to go into it. Hadrians villa is well worth it and you can see villa d’este usually with most tours which is pretty stunning too.

  10. It’s Laura Daniels wedding and it’s just full of NZ comedians, including a lot from taskmaster

  11. 16.2 and new architecture, Siri has lost it even more than before. I ask her to turn off my main bedroom lights, she says they aren’t responding. If I ask one by one with the light name it works. The lights are all responsive in the app. No clue how to fix it.

  12. Mfer it had to be my country 😮‍💨

  13. I read this yesterday in the herald and thought wow this does not make nz police look good 😂 now everyone knows!

  14. I thought that was just my card, you need to insert wait for the error then swipe then insert and wait for the error then swipe again and it will finally let it through.

  15. I got told years ago when it started happening it was from having my card in the back of my phone, but don’t see how that would affect it.

  16. Meanwhile this was my ginger ass on a camping holiday with my 5yo, blissfully unaware I was logging into the sub in the middle of the Ro-pacalypse

  17. One at the plaza food court in whangaparaoa, good memories of happy meals from there after the food shop.

  18. Same issue after updating to ios16 after having no issues for months. Just one of my 7 Nanoleaf bulbs is doing it though?

  19. I do it by setting home automations based on times in the morning with few minute increments. Every few minutes they slightly change colour and get brighter. I use my Nanoleaf bulbs for it.

  20. They breathalized me as a sober 21 year old driving at 10am on a weekday when I drove into the back of the car infront, that's Australia though 🤷

  21. As a New Zealander these stories are wild!! Is it impossible to get a DUI over there? Here it’s like 2 beers and you might be screwed and cops can breathalyse you at the side of the road.

  22. I love this show and just sadly finished the most recent season. I hope they make more. I love the characters, both the police and the recurring members of the community. I binged it so much that by the end I was barely noticing their accent.

  23. It’s just started back on tv here! 3rd episode of the latest season is on tonight. Good to see it’s liked outside of NZ as sometimes I’m unsure if things translate that well. It’s filmed near where I live so always fun playing guess where that place is.

  24. Is it just me or did it not make sense she was back in human form when first doing the breathing exercise? Bruce even says after in the air horn scene that she reverts back to Jen when she sleeps.
