I just go to On Demand >> Cycling >> and then all the videos are in reverse chronological order at the bottom. Which means a lot of “next” buttons to get to an old race but it sounds like that sucks less than whatever is going on in the app.
I just tried that trick (VPN, log into my account, enter payment info, kill the VPN, submit) on Discovery+ instead of Eurosport, and it just fails every time - once the VPN is dropped, the website auto logs you out. So that doesn't seem to work on D+.
Can you still sign up on just Eurosport instead of Discovery+? My account is with Eurosport only. Getting a little nervous for when my credit card expires as I’ve been auto paying for years…

I liked Slaying the Badger more, but I'll never get sick of old family photos of the Lemond family in 70's/80's era Tahoe/Sierras with vintage bikes and VW's. Such vibes. The movie needed more Fignon backstory/perspective. Kinda made him the villian and then dedicated the movie to him on the last screen. Poor guy.

No permit necessary but you must set up camp inside or near any of the shelters at an established site.
For clarity, do not set up a tent in the shelter. Shelters fit up to 4-8 depending on their size and are meant to be shared
