I don't see why it wouldn't as long as it's connected to wifi. What device cares what country it is in like that? People travel and take vacations. If I travel out of USA I expect my R1 would work normally.

I had some issues mostly due to buggy complications before the january patch. Seems to have worked fine for me since though.

Well I bought mine after january and so far so good.

I bought mine in january and got the patch a couple of weeks later. I was considering returning it within the return period, but I took a chance that (so far) seems to have worked out!
