Opex is third Friday of every month and ends Wednesday pre-market. Opex movement obvi is never guaranteed. Last one to run at all was back in September. Additionally NYSE and Finra have rules that require boards and executive committees be diverse and have designated roles, one of those being to have independent directors which GME does have but also ceo and or President which GME currently doesn’t have. Any board addition would have to be voted on by us at shareholder meeting I believe. Also from finra; “In addition, activist investors and some corporate governance experts criticize what they see as an inherent conflict of interest when the person who runs the company day-to-day also heads the board tasked with overseeing the company’s management. Regardless of the reason, many major companies today are choosing to keep the CEO and chairman roles separate.”

To me that sounds like the sort of issue that might be sorted out with an app update.
Devs made a new feature with latest app version or it probably would’ve needed a different work around
