1. 🤓Thank you! You’re quite clever for figuring it out !

  2. That makes me feel good. :) I’m in your neighboring city Aliso. :)

  3. Not so long ago, ex-cop ( I think he was a Deputy sergeant ?) then was an elementary school teacher, John Racz murdered his wife in Valencia back in the early 90s. There was a book and a movie made about it, I think it was called “My Dirty Little Secret” or something along those lines. Also on Dateline or 60 minutes, or one of those journalistic crime type shows. He got away with her murder for many many years but was finally arrested and convicted.

  4. Find a new job. Don’t wait to see what will happen.

  5. Bubbleblubbr(lol) given words of wisdom right here. Their inconsiderate ways will not stop here. I suggest you start looking for a new & better postion regardless of their future plans. You need to look out for you & your child. Sorry you’re dealing with this OP :-/ Must be very stressful especially having to provide for your own child. Best of luck to you !

  6. Might have to check it out then because I usually get my meat from the Mexican supermarkets or a butcher shop.

  7. Grocery Outlet has a lot of products Whole Foods sells but discounted. For example the brands Hippeas, Primal Kitchen, Bragg, etc. They also offer some organic produce . I’ve bought an entire bag of avocados there for less than $2. Costco is good too. I love Sprouts. The bigger supermarkets are ok if you have coupons.

  8. There are specific rideshare companies that transport minors, such as, Hop Skip Drive, Kango , Zum, and even Uber now. I used to drive for one of them briefly while I was in between nanny jobs. However, the company I drove for was very disorganized and I wouldn’t recommend them. They didn’t communicate efficiently with the parents & drivers, so there were times where a minor was not picked up in time and was waiting outside alone for some time because the company failed to communicate to the parent that the driver was running late due to previous pick up running behind. Personally, I would use an agency , hire someone on my own from online childcare sites like care.com , or try word of mouth referral. I strongly recommend you do your own background checks on whomever you’re considering using Trustline & the DMV records. These agencies and companies say they do background checks but often time they’re not extensive enough in my opinion. This is coming from someone that has been working with kids for decades. Please please do your due diligence when hiring someone to care for your child.

  9. Thank you to those of you that have pointed out clues and relevant things to consider when trying to catch this suspect.

  10. OP, as a person who has been in a few abusive relationships ( physical , emotional, etc.) and as an observant of others in relationships where one of the partners got physical, let me tell you that it’s usually just the beginning , and it will only get worse. The fact that he jumped to such conclusions so quickly and his actions were SO drastic without even trying to have a calm conversation with you first to get your side is a huge red flag. Also, it is not uncommon for the jealous”protective” type , or those that will accuse the other of cheating, to be doing just that - cheating on you! It’s called projecting. Most guys that accused me of cheating were 9/10 cheating on me. I have yet to meet a person where the partner got better in terms of anger issues , abuse , physical battery. Abuse comes in all forms. Yelling, name calling , gas lighting , breaking things , grabbing you, restraining you, etc. Abuse isn’t just causing physical harm. If you stay with this person, think about the impact it will have on your potential future kids. Would you want them exposed to that ? Abuse often time escalates to the point of no return. I personally know two females that were both murdered by their husband, and the other by their boyfriend. One was in her 20s and the other was a mom of three in her 40s. Please think this through. There’s plenty of fish in the sea and you’re so young still. 100% you will find someone else that will treat you better.

  11. Ugh I did a trial day with a fam that had two grown dogs (one of whom was old and grumpy and growled at me) and a brand-new untrained puppy that immediately tore my shirt. I stepped in a pile of dog shit coming down the stairs. They were in the middle of home renovations and had no fence. Puppy needed taking out every hour or he would shit and piss in the house. Baby was 10 months, and DB watched him crawl through a puddle of dog piss and did nothing. They also had no paper towels, cleaning supplies, or gloves, so when I found hidden shit piles in the house I had only baby wipes to clean them. Hell.

  12. Sounds like the kind of position that started as a trial, and stayed as a trial! 👎

  13. “Please call or text to learn how much you can pay for this dog (or the other ones I’m selling)”

  14. Is that what they said when you called ? Or are you just assuming ?

  15. Free movie merch from a blockbuster film he produced. I gave it all away to other people that would appreciate it because I wasn’t going to use it. Another family offered to pay for the expenses of my father’s funeral and to take as much time off as I needed. My father was divorced, had no money, & died unexpectedly when I was in my 20s. I didn’t take them up on the financial part of the offer, but I was very appreciative. Gourmet food. West Elm furniture that was never used. Hand me down designer clothing. Ovulation kit & car seat. Brand new Cartier wallet, unopened men’s cologne- basically random stuff they were gifted or didn’t want anymore.

  16. Thank you. They were my fav family to work for, even before their generous offer. Crazy thing is I found them on Craigslist!

  17. Fire her immediately ! She has no work ethic and worse, doesn’t care about your children. Who knows how she is when you’re not around? She is an embarrassment to those of us that do love our work and the kids we care for. She’s not in this field for the correct reasons. You’ve been generous it sounds like and she shows no appreciation or even minimal effort.

  18. I can't see the image but my guess would be the cyber truck? Its a luxury item and this county is wealthy enough to afford it.

  19. Yep , it’s the cyber truck. Not sure why or how the photo was deleted ?

  20. CASA is a wonderful volunteer opportunity helping to advocate for the foster youth of OC.

  21. The most friendly “Mimi Bobek” ( greeter/ receipt checker) at the Laguna Niguel Wal-Mart. The road cyclist with his little white dog on Laguna Canyon Road. The Laguna Hills/AV reclined bike rider with the train of stuff behind him.

  22. You need to leave. I understand the reasoning behind that kind of thinking, “stay for the kids,” but in my opinion, nannies should never stay for the kids. We need to stop sacrificing ourselves for “the kids” when their parents treat us like crap. Sounds harsh, but also, they’re not your kids, and if you’re burnt out now, it’s only going to get worse, and then you’re letting yourself down. How can you be your best self for you and these (or any) NKs if you’re miserable working for people like this?

  23. Very well said hamstersandcheese( lol ). The parents KNOW that many of us will put up with a lot of BS, and they probably think it is because we are afraid to quit for financial reasons , but they don’t realize that it’s because we are concerned for the children and want what’s best for them. They totally take advantage of this. It’s really disappointing that they don’t care enough for their own children to do the right thing, but is it surprising? No, it’s not, they can’t even be bothered to mind their own kin for even an hour a day. I’m NOT saying ALL nanny employers are terrible and act this way, but MANY of them do. I’ve worked for some wonderful families that hired me because they needed an extra set of hands so that they could be even more hands on giving each individual child their own time special time alone on outings and such. Or so that while on vacation, they could go out at night while the kids were sleeping. However, those parents that go the extra mile with their children are far and few between in this industry. It’s a double edge sword this career, because if it weren’t for a lot of these parents that can’t be bothered, we wouldn’t have jobs 🤷‍♀️ I think you’re absolutely correct in telling OP to leave. It will only get worse. Report their shady a$$e$ too.

  24. Dave & Buster’s Not really sure about their quality of food. However, there’s a ton of fun arcade and carnival type games for them to enjoy, plus adult beverages for you.

  25. Sell one of your cars? Where ya gonna store it anyway? Parking is scarce in Costa Mesa and some parts of HB.

  26. Have you considered nearby Downtown Laguna Beach? Since you said “sleepy” was ok, this might be something to consider. Costa Mesa is an area where more of the single & youngish crowds like to be because of the plentitude in bars/ clubs and more affordable rent. It has a more hip & edgy vibe. However, I think Laguna Beach has all the things you’re looking for. Also, the beaches in Laguna are PHENOMENAL. When I’ve brought out of town friends, they’ve said parts of Laguna look like Hawaii, with the aquamarine colored water & plenty of marine life. There are tiny little coves, natural arches & caves, salt pools, tide pools, bonfire pits( in some) and the pirate turret. HB has a bike path, dog beach and a pier- that’s it. I will say the surf competition was a fun event in HB. Downtown Laguna is very walkable( lots of beautiful hikes too), there’s also a free trolley to take you on the PCH & canyon without having to stress about parking. Good restaurants, few bars ,breweries, tons of art galleries, events the Sawdust festival which has live music too. I feel safe walking around Laguna at night alone, I wouldn’t in HB with the amount of rowdy drunks I’ve encountered in the past. I will say that getting to the freeway sometimes takes time when the canyon is congested, it does get quite crowded in the summertime because it’s a world renowned tourist destination. In my experience, Laguna is a mixed bag of both politics, but neither is waving it in your face. The crowd in Laguna will be mixed with more families than you would find in Costa Mesa. While Costa Mesa isn’t on the coast, it is centrally located to get you to other destinations more easily I think.

  27. “We need small gubmit and no regulations!”

  28. Very sad how the ‘Heartland of America’ thinks Trump is looking out for them, when the reality is that he wants to keep those type of people in their place- as far away as possible from Maro Lago & Trump Towers.

  29. I’ve been going to various 24s for 15 years and they’ve all gone down significantly in quality, even the shitty ones. I’ve put up with it since I’m grandfathered into the $100 a year but I bit the bullet and signed up for Lifetime this past week. I couldn’t put up with waiting 30+ minutes for a rack anymore and feeling dirty af in the restrooms.

  30. Same, except my grandfathered rate was $49/yearly ( signed up in 2004). There were signs all over the cardio equipment that limited the use to 20 minutes because that location was so crowded there were literally lines of people waiting for the treadmills at peak hour. The cleanliness got bad even before the pandemic because I remember being so fet up with the filth that I was willing to pay the amount of a cheap auto lease payment monthly for a Renaissance membership. What a difference! All the classes I took had great instructors. I loved the treadmills in the rotunda room because it had the best views overlooking the city. The gym was constantly being cleaned by the workers and the members were pretty good about wiping down too. Was never crowded. LifeTime in San Clemente is really nice too, but what other gyms have several pools, wine tastings, a spa, hotel, bar, restaurant, and a giant tv to watch while soaking in a large women’s only jacuzzi? Felt kind of like a resort. I’d easily spend 3 hours at a time when I’d go.

  31. Been to the following 24hr Fitness's: I'll rank them from best to worst with a letter grade (Overall, Variety of equipment (racks, machines, stationary's, etc), cleanliness):

  32. I’ve been looking for info on the situation, but can’t seem to find any sources??

  33. Beachcomber. Just need to find a reservation they’re hard to come by

  34. “truck guys” aren’t the target audience lol, they’re being bought by wealthy people who want to flex

  35. 2 days ago man bun guy (and a woman) pulled up in one at the AV🎯, he parked at the least crowded & furthest spot away. 30 minutes later, an idling Rolls Royce with its convertible top down at 9:30 pm is parked in the disabled parking at the same lot. Last night I saw what I think was a Lambo (going too fast to be sure) going apx 70mph towards WF on the same street. Wonder what today will bring.

  36. It’s called GROUP THINK. Other terms ewe may want to familiarize yourself with : FHAct, REDLINING, STEERING, BLOCKBUSTING.
