1. A few welders I know that made their own just made up a number. Some of them used harbor freight metal stamps to put the number on the trailer some didn't they just scratched it in with their pocket knife

  2. That is helpful, this is sitting in the woods and I am going to have to sand it down.

  3. I have the same question. Alabama doesn't do titles, but they do tags. I plan on pulling a utility trailer out of the woods (with land owner permission) and restore it, but there won't be an official title. The title won't be a problem, but I need to figure out tags.

  4. Yes, for a laptop, the boundary can be windows firewall. That is how we do work from home and travel. But, I have the same concern as you about the out-of-scope VLAN. I know my software developers will want to take their laptop and integrate on the out-of-scope VLAN. That will have to be a no-no if they need to turn anything off in the firewall.

  5. I think I've finally figured out how to kill Chinese Privet. I mixed up a 50/50 solution of Roundup (glyphosate) & water is a spray bottle. Cut the privet at the trunk - either to the ground or a couple of feet above the ground (I usually cut it a couple of feet above the ground so I can monitor whether or not it leafs back out). Immediately after you cut the trunk, spray the cut with the solution until it's wet.

  6. I agree. I use 50/50 Triclopyr with kerosene on stumps. I tried on young tender privet, didn't work. You are right, pull up or cut to stump.

  7. I know that location has had a history of problems with bad concepts, but I believe this family is in it for the long haul. It has already developed a reputation in the Hispanic community with a widely spreading reputation in the general area. It is a cooking and seasoning style not available in other local restaurant.

  8. Headed to Nashville for overnight trip and hang out while he runs the marathon. Looking forward to it!

  9. What are the firework laws in the Huntsville area?

  10. Illegal in city limits, both to sell and use. In county, can sell and use.

  11. My Dad (after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer) spent 30K on one.

  12. Food City grocery store being built next door.

  13. https://www.al.com/business/2024/01/food-city-parent-company-buys-2-acres-near-huntsvilles-stovehouse.html?outputType=amp

  14. I believe they bought the land, I don't believe they will go through with it. I know Food City.

  15. Before COVID, I would recommend going to Wal-Mart at 2:00 AM.

  16. This is interesting to me. When I moved to Huntsville in 2016, I had the impression Madison was the more progressive community due to the diversity I see in the schools. After living in Madison for five years, I now realize that is not the case. Shows what I know!

  17. It what I call the "Abundant Living" community heavily influenced by protestant mega churches. Protestantism had merged with the upper middle class to create a uniquely American religion intertwined with politics.

  18. Jimbo and Casio read a comment from you on the radio this morning; I can't believe you're commenting on my post!!

  19. They purposely make them vague, especially when involving a minor.

  20. For background, Mr. Schmitz was my neighbor in Chapman. This video is long, but it appears to be the last interview published before his death. He was a fascinating person.

  21. Read between the lines "Deputies conducted a traffic stop" ... "The minor, a student in Madison County schools, was a passenger in the vehicle.".... From WAFF "Major Crimes Unit and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were contacted"

  22. No, no set up. I wonder if he witnessed something going on in the car.

  23. They even had a website! long since abandoned.

  24. It may be HAM more than pubic safety, but have you been to the new Gigaparts?

  25. Most maps I have shown some in Southern Tennesse for one brood.

  26. I am just catching up on news, looks like all 7 Alabama house members voted yes. I expect Britt to vote yes. It will be interesting to see what Florida man does, I would bet he will vote no.

  27. I haven't read the details, but from what I am guessing it isn't just about supplying Ukraine, it is most likely replenishing the stocks from what we have sent over. We sent large quantities of existing stockpiles over. Since Redstone is largely project offices, money will be funneling through to the big primes to replenish.

  28. I understand now, either of the ELCA churches. One is in Madison, one in Huntsville.

  29. Not sure what you are after. The Methodist split is in the news regularly, nothing much reddit can add here. All the other mainlines made their division a long time ago.

  30. Granted, this is for a 150 person company, but we have 4 people, all mid-level to senior, and we are struggling to get our company compliant. We don't have strong management support yet for the administrative side. Even if we get that support, I am estimating 12-24 months and seven digit budget.

  31. Logistics. The USA is a mind-bogglingly large country with people spread all over it, yet you can get stuff from one end of it to the other on a very predictable (and usually short) timetable with very little difference in quality. From the postal service to food to lumber, we are experts at moving stuff places.

  32. Yes, the US Military wins on logistics. The logistics to keep an air craft carrier and its group remotely deployed is beyond what any country in the world can do. China may be able to build a carrier, but no one can keep one supplied but us.

  33. Kind of thing that will give MAGA a fit. Sounds interesting.

  34. Do you know how long it can take the government to fill open job reqs? Months.

  35. How will this impact the broader traffic patterns? Many of the employees at MDA, Sparkman Center, and the Army Project offices will go to Gate 9. Gate 9 will be a mess. It will also bring additional traffic to the Parkway and East Martin Road.

  36. Yes, and good candidates with policy statements.

  37. Ain't a chance this is happening. First, it won't get past county commission. Even if it did, it doesn't have a chance of passing. The whole group are amateurs wasting everyone's time and have no path forward for properly and humanely caring for animals.
