1. I feel like if the treatment is going to take longer than a year, might as well just go with braces. They make them composite colored now and the wire is the only thing you’d see. For me, already had braces and needed mild bite correction. 20 trays. Made sense to do Invisalign since it’s only 4 months. Gets tiring having to always take them in and out.

  3. My dr honestly said even though the instructions they gave say don’t drink anything other than water, warm drinks and drinks other than water are fine. He said he wants to do a melt test on the aligners to see when they actually do warp from hot liquids. Only risk is that you might stain them. But that won’t show up immediately, I noticed by day 9 it would show up when I was doing 2 week changes. Now that I’m on 1 week changes I don’t care at all. Anyways, no issues and I drink coffee and/or soda with sugar in them every day.

  4. I have questions. Day 9 was your magic number, but how many cups of coffee is that? Like will my 1 cup of coffee in the morning have the same staining effect?

  5. Thank you! I did, both bottom and top. Tomorrow I'm getting my retainer.

  6. Awesome! I have two chips on my bottom teeth that look like yours I want to get fixed but they are saying $1000 a tooth. I’m in California. But still have about 6 trays left!

  7. I had my first 9 trays (just a bite correction case and some minor movements) and then the 10th was an over correction. The same thing happened to me since I was always wearing my trays and so he cut the trays after the canines. However, the clincheck showed my premolars were moved. I asked the dentist and he assured me I wouldn’t see recession in the 6 week period and that all the major movements and rotations were completed. Well, I also struggled with the cut trays since they were so loose all the time since I had all my attachments removed. I went back in for a second appt 5 days after getting the trays cut and we did another scan, he wanted to do refinements so now I’m wearing a temporary retainer. I’m expecting the trays to come in in 1-2 weeks. When you go back in, they will rescan you and double check everything, so you should be all good!

  8. Looks fine. Just stearic acid that didn’t get fully incorporated (it’s like this on mine too) and then melted.

  9. Blud got the “table is ready” notification from din tai fung

  10. There isn’t one. You see it when it’s cold upon startup and then if it creeps hot you get a warning and the hot light blinks. Only cold and hot lights. Stop driving immediately to prevent overheating. I suppose you could use a scan tool to see the exact temperature, but that would be more of an advanced one that gives live data

  11. I always do every 5,000 miles. Maintenance minder is usually at 30 or 40% still. Just makes things easier doing every 5K because you don’t have to remember anything. If it’s divisible by 5 then you know it’s time.

  12. I changed my oil less than 500 miles before and pep boys literally said the oil was overdue for changing lol. Probably wouldn’t trust their opinion on some things like that

  13. I have the same car 2014 Honda Civic and I paid $711 at PepBoys. Unfortunately this isn’t like the 7th gen where the starter is accessible from the top. My car wasn’t starting and it was right there, so I kinda had to suck it up and pay. Did come with a limited lifetime warranty though. Annoying bc these starters are like $100 reman

  14. All of it bullshit except maybe coolant, but that doesn’t need to be changed for 5 years so again, bullshit.
