1. Magnus Carlsen, Ødegaard, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Aurora, Kygo, Alan Walker, Jens Stoltenberg?

  2. Hence "take it easy and respect it." A 450r dirtbike also doesn't have rider aids

  3. But dirt is softer than tarmac and guardrails. Also starting on 450 dirtbike is equally stupid idea.

  4. Yea that was a dumb comparison on my part. Trying to say that there are harder to ride bikes than a sv1000, 450 being one of them. Still wouldn't pass it up for $1k with no experience

  5. I am from Hungary yes I have the same experience. Sometimes the drivers even go for extreme stuff to let me go (like two wheels already on the grass / gravel). At the beginning I thought because they are nice but nowadays I think they just don't like motorbikes around them so they rather let me go

  6. They are great. Any bike will give you trouble if you don't maintain it or let it sit.

  7. looks well, and that has a pretty ass, i wish the new one kept those lights, favorite thing (looks) about the sv imo

  8. Good intuition! My therapist thinks so, too.

  9. I had very similar thoughs some time ago. I got into a relationship with a girl that doesn't ride - not that she's against it, she just doesn't enjoy it. Occasionally we'll take the motorcycle to go somewhere, but it's just like she's taking one for the team. Unfortunately I like spending time with her, and between everything in life it seems like there's never enough time to spend together. So after a while I started feeling like I'm just forcing this motorcycle habit as almost always when I went riding it took time off from us spending some time together. I also have a pretty boring-but-great bike, a VFR800, so that adds to it. It's a real riders bike, it's not exciting to look at it, think about it or ride ir short distance It's just great when riding it, really shines long distance.

  10. I have seen tests done with various pants on dummies. I would not pick kevlar Jeans for anything but slow speeds, 70 is quite slow. Seems great for city riders though

  11. Depends on how tight the curve is. But of course you are right, the thing is not every crash needs to happen in a curve. I unfortuantely do not have many curves around in my area but the most interesting ones are several curves that are long swung on a perfect surface with barely any traffic, its almost boring to just go twice the speed limit on those, I never go below 110-120 if there is no traffic that day and the road is dry. So for me leather is important to have. Not to mention that jeans are shit in the rain and it rains soooooo much in Denmark

  12. I don't know about other models but the '08 Shiver 750 served me well for a couple years. Turning, throttle response, power, and gearing were all exactly what I wanted. It felt like an SV650's big brother.

  13. after the ducati, I'm never owning an Italian motorcycle or car ever again.

  14. He'll become part of the statistic on motorcycle deaths no matter how unpropable such situation is.

  15. There was a story about one guy who visited a fotune teller as a joke and been told he will die in a horrific plane crash on his way to the vacation. He decided to take this prediction seriously and never flew again. Many years later, near his retirement, he planned a dream vacation to celebrate his successful career. He boarded a train on the way to the port, where he would spend couple of months on a luxurious cruise ship, but in the middle of the train ride an out of control plane crashed into his private rail car, killing no one except him.
