1. Le Lion by Chanel. It was love at first sniff, so I indulged myself with a full bottle purchase ($$$). Wore it until I got the comment that it smelled like Play-Doh. Now that's all I can smell of it, and haven't worn it since!

  2. Most definitely a cool weather scent. I love Babycat, but can only wear it during winter. I've never smelled gasoline, BUT I do catch a whiff of synthetic plastic - like a Barbie or baby doll.

  4. I was honestly impressed with the Dossier that I've tried. Ambery Cherry, their dupe for Tom Ford's Lost Cherry is even better than the original, in my opinion. I cannot tell the difference between the two, but the Dossier version lasts a LOT longer, while Tom Ford's is gone in a few hours.

  5. Agreed. I was similarly disappointed when I purchased direct from the YSL website. Two bottles of $250 fragrances rattling around in a plain cardboard box, with nothing but a couple pieces of crumpled paper to protect them. They should take a note from Dior or Chanel. They definitely understand what presentation means, especially from a luxury brand!

  6. Evah and Abhora on the same season? I smell an alliance- they were castmates together in Atlanta on The Other Show (along with Biqtch Puddin and Violet Chachki), weren't they?

  7. If it's a fragrance I recognize, I might mention it along with a compliment. People seem to enjoy the acknowledgement. I am often torn, whether or not I should mention someone's fragrance - I don't want them to think I'm some creepy guy hitting on them. It seems such a cheesy come-on line, that I usually just remain quiet "Hey, you smell good. What are you wearing?".

  8. Knowing that the Dior Privee fragrances are limited, and will eventually all be discontinued, I have backup bottles of my favorites:

  9. So very strange... I was also disappointed by it. All I get from it is cocoa. Not creamy hot chocolate, but dark unsweetened bakers chocolate. No rose. No sandalwood. Just cocoa. I've put it away until winter, hoping I'll get more from it during cooler weather.

  10. That would imply that I've actually received compliments.

  11. Maybe you're not spraying enough. For full beast-mode and compliment-pulling, you gotta hit it with at least five or six sprays.

  12. Even with Sauvage Elixir? Brah... Hardcore - you're a PRO frag hobbyist!

  13. Have you tried Oud Rosewood by Dior?

  14. Moonlight Patchouli by Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire

  15. They value their privacy too much... They have been very very quiet, publicly, about their relationship. It's only (relatively) recent that their relationship has been uncovered in the media. I would imagine that as a public personality, Ru wants to keep themselves away from the cameras and the eyes of the public. They managed to evade public exposure for decades before finally caught by the paparazzi in 2017. Clearly, they don't want to be in front of the camera.

  16. For sure! The interface is awful, and it's hard to find what you want to watch. But there is SO MUCH content that I didn't even realize existed! Totally worth the few dollars it costs. (But, for some weird reason, it doesn't include Drag Race US!!)

  17. Today I'm wearing l'Homme a la Rose by MFK... I'm working from home today, and still in my pajamas. Smelling fancy, feeling comfy.

  18. Caftan by YSL Le Vestiare des Parfums

  19. I think the issue is more of self control than full bottle vs decant (working on it and no purchase 6 months is a big milestone for me).

  20. I'm constantly changing my fragrances, day to day. And quite often, I'll even wear more than one fragrance in the same day! Today, I started the day wearing Paris-Paris by Chanel. Mid-afternoon, as it was wearing off, I added a few small spritzes of Rouge Trafalgar by Dior. And sometimes, I'll layer two fragrances together. There are no rules, so wear what you love, and HOW you love it.
