1. Which mask are you using? I had the same problem with the nasal pillows. I switched to the nose mask, which had another strap, and I stopped pulling it off in my sleep as I couldn't pull it off my head as easily.

  2. It took me about 8 months to get completely used to it. I sleep better now than I have in 20+ years. I still wake up occasionally with dry mouth from the CPAP or because of the hose, but it's once or twice a night rather than 10-40+ times.

  3. if you find pancake mix and a bowl you can make pancakes, i carry a spoon for this reason. need it or a spatula to mix the batter.

  4. Also, gravy. I tried making biscuits and gravy, but it wouldn't let me combine them.

  5. You seriously need two bowls? That explains it then, i always use one

  6. Lol, I have 12 lined up on a countertop. After I pull out my pot of stew/soup, I go near the countertop and right-click on the pot, and I get an option for 2 or 4 bowls.

  7. The truck is wrong. Yes as a society we have to be considerate and that is the only and necessary reason the van should have just reversed few car lengths. But remember the van might be a new driver and is not street smart , hence truck is wrong again.

  8. If the van driver was a new driver, they should have remembered what that solid white line is for. All they had to do is stay put or back up slightly, but they decided to pull forward into the crosswalk, making the situation worse. They had their left blinker on, so there was no reason to pull up like they were turning right.

  9. I don't know how a mask would stay on when burying my face in pillows and blankets

  10. The mask is great for burying your face in covers. I like to cover my face in the mornings to block light, and now it doesn't feel like I'm suffocating cause I've got a tube delivering me fresh air.

  11. Depending on where you are, I'd be happy to do it. My Pickles died at 15, in early 2023, from a blood clot, and I miss kitties. Sometimes, I'll try to get the attention of a random stray, but when I yell, 'Kitty kitty kitty!' they just look at me like I'm weird. So far, I've had to be content with the ones up for adoption at Tomlinson's, when I go get dog food.

  12. My wife had made several comments about me waking up gasping for air. I also have degenerative disc disease, which was acting up, and my arms were going to sleep constantly while laying down. I was exhausted during the day from getting so little broken sleep. So I saw my doctor, who referred a sleep specialist.

  13. You said several times that the husband was super cool and made you feel comfortable. How did he do that?

  14. I had this too. The specialist reviewed my results and determined I did better on a fixed pressure setting of 11.

  15. Same. At first, I felt like I was either suffocating or being water boarded with air. Several adjustments to the machine by vendor rep and a change of masks, and I'm now sleeping better than I have in almost 30 years. Just this morning, I woke up and had to feel the mask with my hand cause I didn't think I had it on.

  16. These are the same people who will stop in the second lane until they are let in or pull in with inches to spare, causing the car behind them to slam on their brakes. Which causes a shockwave behind them.

  17. Lol yes going into debt to buy a $60k truck you don't need is dumb, or at the very least shortsighted, to say nothing of the impact these stupid ass trucks have on our environment and infrastructure. Hell even the trucks themselves are getting ridiculously large. Remember the F-350? That's an F-150 now. Remember the Ford Ranger? I had one, and it carried a few bags of mulch from Lowes just fine. Good luck even finding something like that now. Fuck these bigass trucks right in the face. I hate them.

  18. I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, but I just wanted to add that I carried 18 bags of mulch in my Mazda 3 hatchback the other week.

  19. I assume they contract out the video reviewing? I'm sure those guys get paid based on number of videos reviewed.

  20. Our company had the older style, which only triggered from bumps and g-force. Then they upgraded to the type OP is talking about, and they went off constantly. Upper management tried to tell us to stop drinking anything while driving, as every time we lifted a drink, it would go off for distraction. They wouldn't say it was against company policy cause it wasn't, though they kept insisting we stop eating and drinking while driving. We collectively told them to fuck off, and they adjusted the sensitivity. Now mine goes off 2 or 3 times a year.

  21. Depends on my alignment. A good guy would help his friend while and evil guy wouldn't risk it when it outwits the benefit of having an extra ally

  22. That's why I lean towards chaotic neutral characters. I may help you, I may stand back and watch you die.

  23. You have to take age into account. Many older people are married, making 100k+ combined, and Republican. Whether they are college educated or not. Neither my wife nor I are college educated, I work blue colar while she's an executive admin, and we make over 150k combined. We're both over 50, though still liberal which is rarer for our age.

  24. I should add: if you want to make fruit pies just for roleplaying purposes, go for it!

  25. So rotten food isn't worth it for fertilizer? I'm constantly grabbing rotten food from fridges to replenish my compost. I did skip out on the farm as I didn't want to haul that much rotten food back.

  26. I did that when I first started using the CPAP machine with the nasal pillows. Would pull it off in my sleep and wake up later, noticing I no longer had it on. I talked to my supplier representative, and they suggested the nose mask. It's harder to get off without waking up, and in six months, I have only done it once. Now I'm used to the mask and no longer try to pull it off in my sleep.

  27. So, I switched last night to the nasal mask rather than the pillow. I have a camera in my bedroom so I can watch my cats in there (they're SO cute and I'm obsessed) when I'm at work. Anyway, at 2:13 I took it right off. When I say I was awake, I still have lots of periods of movement during the night. So I was totally unaware of taking it off.

  28. And it didn't wake you when you removed it? With more straps, it's more disruptive removing the nose mask. If you weren't aware, I would just work on being more conscious of having the mask on.

  29. I am doing it primarily for her. I certainly benefit. I am overweight and now approaching normal BMI, she is "obese" and I would like here to get into the overweight category

  30. I understand. What's her diet like? I typically cook more often, and with her not eating carbs, I had to alter the menu quite a bit to eliminate stuff like pasta and rice. It's been a challenge, but I believe we are eating healthier from it. I also discourage us from eating out, as there are so many calories in most restaurant dishes. I also do the grocery shopping, so keep the snack food out of the house. Also, how's her health?

  31. She eats ok with me, but not so much when we are apart. I travel for work ~monthly. It is also the candy and a glass or two of wine about 4 days a week.

  32. I understand and am in a similar situation. Just continue to be as encouraging as you can.

  33. yawn. Manual mode isn't a selling point if you want a manual.

  34. The automatics aren't CVT. The majority of my cars have been manual, except a dip into a Prius (drove like a golf cart), and my last two Mazda hatchbacks. Manual mode does not cut it, and though I have a turbo now and love it, I'd probably take a manual because you can get them in the top trim. When I bought mine at the beginning of 22', I think the manual was in a lower trim, and it was also slim pickings around then.

  35. It’s just looks more unique, conversely the sedan looks like every other sedan

  36. This is my complaint, though I am a hatchback enthusiast. The sedan, from the rear, looks like...I don't know, a Toyota or Kia? The rear just blends in with other small sedans.

  37. I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but the show went off the rails when they started working from home during Covid. It just seemed they started putting less effort into the show, then the whole paying guests thing, and then they changed the format, for what, two days a week.

  38. Do you know what they changed? I’m getting major rainout with no help from my Dr.

  39. They adjusted both the heated tube temperature and the humidity level slightly. I want to say they lowered the humidity and raised the tube temperature, but I was on the phone with them at the time, away from home. I think that makes the most sense.

  40. I always wake up with a dry mouth anytime I use a nose mask. Although I really dislike how uncomfortable the full face is. And chin straps and mouth tape have been hard for me to get used to.

  41. I've got a full beard, so chin strap and mouth tape wouldn't work. I haven't tried a full mask yet. I just suffer through it and keep saying I'm going to bring water with a straw to bed with me.

  42. I don't sleep in a car, but I take it with me when traveling because at this point, it's like a security blanket. I also can't sleep on a plane, but a note on traveling with one. You can carry it in addition to a carry-on bag and small bag you put under seat. It counts as medical equipment. If, however, you chose to store it in your carry-on bag, some airports will pass it through TSA security, and some will require you to remove it before scanning. I found this out while coming back from Mexico with a layover in Houston. I had 30 minutes to catch my next flight, and TSA pulled me aside. They had me remove the bag my CPAP machine and accessories were in, rescan both my carry-on and CPAP bag, and then let me go. It's probably better to just remove it and scan separately, every time.

  43. Overconfidence got me good a bunch of times. So far I havent gotten killed from cooking yet. My real life OCD paranoia about checking fire sources seems to have translated into the game. I keep checking all my ovens. Sometimes I've cut a looting run short to go back to base and check.

  44. I do, too, but sometimes I get up in the morning and realize I've left the back door open. I'm like, 'You idiot! You want zombies to wander in in the middle of the night?!' IRL, I'm always checking doors.

  45. I've got the ResMed 11, and it took me about 5 months to get used to it. Mask changes, changes to settings, and finally to fitful nights as I just forced myself to wear it or put it back on if I pulled it off in my sleep. It was going to cost me my job and career if I didn't get used to it.

  46. I had a person in a stolen Chevy Silverado hit my trailer going 80 mph and I never had anything come of it. The police arrested the guy.

  47. According to FMCSA regulations, the trucking company must test the driver for drugs or alcohol if:

  48. Well, the cops were obviously distracted. I'm surprised your company wasn't all over it to cover their asses. How long ago did it happen?

  49. Yep. I passed it going northbound around 3:20.
