1. Every time I see this truck and the price tag and the specs I think to myself, "Ford is going to sell a metric FUCKTON of these over the next few years..."

  2. On the one hand, I hate how wasteful it is to have a gigantic truck, especially when you're just getting one as a status symbol and not for actual contracting work.

  3. I don't think having an f150 is that insanely wasteful. Especially for a lot of lifestyles. My wife and I love camping and things of the sort and it can be a bit difficult to fit all our stuff plus kids in our mach-e, which is part of the reason we ordered a rivian. There's lots of uses for vehicles beyond just getting people to and from work, and a lot of those things are easier with a truck.

  4. Very subtle. I wonder if Ford thought their buyers didn't want to stand out at all from other F150 owners. Seems like at least color options or other visible differentiation would be warranted.

  5. I think it's more likely that Ford expects that a lot of truck owners would be fairly resistive to change and would be reassured by something that looks and feels familiar.
