1. I don't mean this in a rude way, more a responsibility way... What's the point of having a cat if you're paying someone to play with it? Cats usually bond to one person the most, so they prefer to play with and hang out with you, their guardian. Same goes for any animal that needs attention, play and affection. If you don't have time to play with your pet, you might want to consider finding a new home for them who can give them the attention they need. Their quality of life will be better in the long run.

  2. No. If we are leaving for an extended period, the cats either come with or go to the cat-sitter; otherwise, we play with them ourselves.

  3. No. They’re self-sufficient. They can go without food for half a day, hunt for their own if they get hungry, and get to go outside whenever they want.
