  1. These notes and the books in Skyrim were some of my favourite parts of the game! I loved scouring dungeons high and low for hidden obscure books. I got so good at avoiding the orc librarian in the College of Winterhold's library. And I was DEVASTATED when my home in Falkreath randomly deleted books every time I accessed my bookshelves.

  2. Looks like a tomato on the inside for sure, but the skin reminds me of eggplant/aubergines. And it's the size of a grape?

  3. Even if you don't just mistake the glass for the cone and chomp into it, these glasses will eventually crack and break, which makes it more dangerous. Glassware is not made to take scraping motions like this.

  4. Epic is like the Nestle of the video game industry: "I know I'm an asshole, I'm proud to be an asshole, and if you think I'm an asshole right now then just wait to see what else I have planned!"

  5. Awh, I like this one! That's not abuse, that's pure love. I do agree that the kid is probably old enough to be taught to take care of things he loves, but I really don't think he's doing these things to teddy because he intended to be abusive.

  6. visit your local library for more information on teddy abuse.

  7. I thought I knew most of the cat subreddits, thank you for informing me of a new one!!

  8. This is not surprising for large ocean predators. They have incredible object permanence, which allows them to capture their prey (that are significantly smaller and more agile than them). They also need this instinct to defend their young; a common hunting strategy amongst sea creatures is to sneak up on a baby calf and then drag them off before the mother can react.

  9. At the end there, when he's bringing the platter to the group of children, who are probably STARVING and so eager to eat. Yet not a single one tries to stand up, or grab, or get ahead of the others.

  10. I've said it before in another sub, but combat in the vanilla release really wasn't that bad. It wasn't great, but still fine, and fun despite how simple it is. In fact, I find myself heavily disliking combat mods, since they tend to turn it into something totally different and it's good to kick back in it's simplicity. If I want Souls-like punishing combat then I'll just play Souls titles.

  11. What people forget is that Skyrim came out in the very early 2010s. There weren't that many WRPGs on the market, and the ones that existed were vastly inferior to Skyrim in every way. Just think of Morrowind or Oblivion. The maps. Finding the right place to go. The combat. The graphics. The frames per second. The rendering.

  12. I think the fact that they have a raccoon as a pet is the "awful thought but great execution" part of this. Raccoons pose major health risks to humans, and they can never be fully tamed. You could train it to act in certain ways in exchange for food, but they will never be fully domesticated through training alone.

  13. I can't believe the number of commenters giving you suggestions to make your arrangement better or more appropriate.

  14. Has anyone considered the possibility that this is fake, and someone just posted a picture of a pencil?

  15. I've already beat the game but this was an amazing writeup. I used the gloves for the speed of the attack (multiple attacks in short amount of time). And I used the elemental aspect of the bow instead of the pure HP bow. I like that the elemental continues to do damage between hits. And I could be wrong but I believe the total damage of the elemental damage over time exceeds the one hit damage of the other weapon. (and it's very satisfying seeing them die from damage over time while I've moved on to a different enemy). So I used fully charged and enhanced gloves on the pure HP row - and fully upgraded and enhanced bow on the elemental effects route.

  16. Thank you so much for reading my post, and for contributing so much of your own!

  17. Looking at this after I have beaten the game twice with the broom, I have some comments to this:

  18. Thanks so much for taking the time to contribute! I'm really glad that this post has inspired so many people to share their own experiences.

  19. I don't know why everyone is always surprised by a hippo's speed in water. A huge part of swimming speed is drag, which basically means how difficult is it for something to move in water. Hippos are essentially cylinders of solid muscle and smooth skin; they have incredibly high mass (which becomes their acceleration) for how little drag they generate by comparison. In other words, it totally makes sense for them to be strong swimmers. Notice how much slower they are on their feet on land, by comparison.

  20. Oh my God, thank you. I've been listening over and over to try and decipher what she says at that point.

  21. I really love all the little details like this that went into this movie. Unfortunately they got so caught up in the symbolism and Easter eggs that they forgot to make a movie that's actually coherent or good.

  22. Yeah, it's so easy to get around the rules in this one, because they forgot to give the snail special powers. The easiest way is to put the snail in a container (either you wear protective equipment or you get someone else to do it). The second easiest way is to put yourself into something that separates you from the environment (like Sandy Cheeks living under the ocean).

  23. I actually came here to call bullshit and say that this is just some pic snapped on the scene of a porno shoot.

  24. Innocent until proven guilty, my fucking ass. It's the biggest crock of shit our "justice" system has ever fed to us. Also, "ignorance is not a valid reason for breaking the law". Well, if that's the case, then you should make laws a mandatory part of child education. I don't know every single law. I'm sure no one does, not even most lawyers. I can't help it if I did something that I didn't know was illegal. Yes if I do it again then arrest me, but no one should be arrested on a first offense and carry a permanent record for something like this.

  25. I mean, feral animals don't usually stay with their parents or siblings once they grow up. That's not how they're meant to be. So I think having two grown dogs from the litter recognize AND like each other is the exception, not the norm.

  26. Awh, I think she was just sharing the thought process that went through her head as she herself realized what it meant. I do this all the time; I give way too many details because I worry that I won't be believed if I don't prove my point.

  27. WHERE HAVE HER NIPPLES GONE?!?!? Seriously I feel pain in MY body just looking at this.
