Funny story… ours was labeled “pit mix” and wound up a “lab mix” after genetic testing. Exact opposite situation.

People don’t realize how anticlimactic it will be. Trump and others and making a big show saying the FBI is going to bust down his door at Mar-a-lago and drag him away in handcuffs. That won’t happen. The DA will contact his lawyers to let them know they have issued an arrest warrant and they will schedule a date for Trump to turn himself in. He goes to the police on that, he’s fingerprinted, mug shot taken and processed. He’ll then be arraigned and release on his own recognizance. All this will be worked out beforehand by his lawyers and the DA. He might fight extradition in Florida and possibly win with the right judge. But then he will be arrested whenever he goes back to NYC which he has to at some time. Even once he’s arraigned it will take years for the case to go anywhere (case in point Ken Paxton has been awaiting trial for years). This is just home making noise for his constituents.

Whoa. You guys are giving this a lot of thought. I just need it to step out if my own life for a few. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it sucks and I FF. But it’s soothing to me. It’s escapism. I have no doubt we're going to get royally screwed with this new contract. I'm fine leaving things status quo for the time being. The last thing I want is more time in the day or more days in the year for a few pennies...plus they're likely to mess with medical benefits...look at the retirees. Keep your 3%. $160 per check (which after taxes would be significantly less) isn't worth sacrificing my quality of life. Let me take my prep at home and leave earlier to beat some of the traffic...maybe I'll consider. I have no faith in Mulgrew and Co.
Our medical benefits are not negotiated in the contract. That’s a separate negotiation we do with the other municipal unions and the city.
There is overlap. That’s why we have retirees being pushed into Medicare Advantage. It was appendix B in the last contract. They promised savings in the form of switching retirees to MA. The raises and comps are almost levied on healthcare givebacks. We need to pass the New York Health Act so unions can not use it as a bargaining chip.
It’s a shame this was never presented to us in real talk during ratification. I need it explained to me “like I’m 5” from now on, as do probably most of us.

All this. There are days I dread getting dressed, nothing is comfortable/big enough, but when I do my clothes fit fine. Not comfortable in my own body no matter what I do, how much I exercise, how much I restrict, etc. it’s just the nature of the beast.
