On Black Friday 2008, 34 yr old Walmart employee, Jdimytai Damour, was asked by his employer to use his 6’5 body as a barrier for a crowd of over 2,000 people. He died that day after being trampled by the crowd. The shoppers did not concerned about his death, and even complained of waiting too long.

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

  1. Nobody takes me seriously when I say Nintendo isn't competitive. I'm not calling them incompetent. They hold control of the children's game market, which is a big market.

  2. Ok so around 2004 I went to a local all-ages punk show with my friend. We were maybe 14. We meet this group of 3 girls who we hung out with and I got along well with one of them. We exchanged emails and started chatting on MSN. One day we were chatting and she said "brb I gotta take a gangster shit" and I don't think I've ever become unattracted to someone more quickly in my life

  3. I'm down to see that. It's really a duopoly right now. Samsung and Apple. I've been down the Apple road before and it's just not a company I want to support. And I've been increasingly disappointed in the Samsung phones as the years go on. I'd accept a third player in the flagship arena

  4. I think it's one of those things where when the technology became available, people went over the top with it.

  5. What's the name of the company? Everybody here should be stating the name of the company every time

  6. I got one very similar to this around 99 or '00 (come to think of it they all looked the same didn't they?). It now lives in my parents garage by the work bench, and still works. My dad just uses it for the radio when he's doing shop stuff.

  7. I'm not a particular fan of the aged/rustic look but that's not even the issue really. Could they not at least give it a consistent pattern? This looks like ass. There's 6 different prints on the boards and I tried my damndest to find a way to line them up but it doesn't seem possible. I just really hope the customer wasn't shown an example that looks way better in the showroom

  8. I wonder what the legitimacy of this is. I'm not at all trying to rain on someone's happy story. But from a scientific standpoint, can cats really have this level of understanding?

  9. Ya why not? I get free dopamine-enducing karma by piggybacking off the content of someone else.

  10. Yes. Reddit also calls it karma. If you go to your profile it'll tell you your total "karma" for both posts and comments

  11. So I should be downvoting 90% of the posts on this sub?

  12. I wonder how many times this can get reposted

  13. Are you complaining about your car learning to pee in the toilet?

  14. It's a video game. There's no cost for failure. There are people who can do this in real life.

  15. The community here has no problem with people who choose to live outside urban areas where a car is probably necessary to reach jobs and essential services.

  16. So far I think this was the answer I was looking for most. Thank you

  17. Stuff You Should Know has a great podcast on Black Friday which covers this event.

  18. Aw they're both wearing those shoes that make you seem taller

  19. Not only is this a repost but it also doesn't fit the sub at all

  20. "the coyote is always more humiliated than harmed"
