  1. Anything? Nothing? What does it matter? We're probably not going to stay afloat for very long with our business attitude.

  2. do you know if it's the same/similar for sexual intrusive thoughts? I've heard this before but I've never seen anyone talk about when it's sexual

  3. I get these. I went through it for years without telling anyone and it really did a number on my mental health. I've had a bunch of therapy since getting formally diagnosed with depression, and I'm learning how to cope with it now, but this thread has made me feel so much less alone.

  4. The dad was also a police officer so I really hope he didn't use his power to keep his son and possibly him from getting in trouble. I guess I should have called CPS but I was young and thought that the police would help. I really hope they looked into it.

  5. You did what you could. I hope you don't blame yourself for not being able to do anything more because, like you said, you were young and that's all you thought to do at the time. I think you were quite brave to contact the police like that in the first place.

  6. Oh, you're right. He actually said "Asha, you did it". The fact that I'd thought he'd said the other thing and just accepted it as something he'd legitimately say though...

  7. I wish he had actually said it so you all could've experienced what I did. I laughed through the rest of that scene and the next until I got distracted by Dr Headwood's secret moaning man hand.

  8. A few reports have come out of the Japanese population actually being quite supportive of the Olympics. It seems to be a Western idea that the whole of Japan is vehemently against the Olympics.

  9. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-21/japan-polls-show-weaker-public-opposition-toward-olympic-games

  10. By "most people" I mean every single japanese local I've talked to about the Olympics go ahead. Granted, these are all people from only one prefecture in Japan. I didn't want to say "everyone" for obvious reasons. I was in no way talking about foreigners in Japan.

  11. I can understand that, but if cutting himself off from his family is really what he wanted, it's a little strange for him to expect to keep his titles and allowance. That's not cutting yourself off at all.

  12. Looks like the Daily Mail posted it on their Youtube channel:

  13. I was really expecting it to be revealed that Mel had actually been eating the human parts but used the rat hallucination to comfort herself into eating them. I feel like that would have been more powerful

  14. I'm gonna sound like a complete asshole here but I think that's a little too...smart(?) for the show.

  15. Yeah I wasn't completely sold on the word choice there but I couldn't think of another word.

  16. Japan has actually completely given up on covid. The reason their numbers are low is because they arent testing that much. They had almost no restrictions since the first outbreak and mask usage is extremely low.

  17. Yeah. If I had to describe Japan's response to the pandemic, "under control" would be at the bottom of the list of things I could say.

  18. I’ve seen conspiracy people coming up now, trying to point it too a ridiculously complex plan involving Fiona taking his job, how she “set him up” and shit, and it’s just the sort of stuff you can only shake your head at, people who want to remain in the little safe bubble and not accept the truth.

  19. To note, I'm from New Zealand, not the Americas.

  20. We say maths in NZ too. It's a commonwealth country. A lot of the words and spellings we use are from the UK.
