I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

  1. Got run over by a car when I was a child. The whole ordeal probably lasted about 10 seconds but I still have it all in my head, every second of it, and it feels like a good hour. Near death experience. I’m lucky I lived.

  2. I’m French and not long ago there was a subject about this on the news on the biggest tv channel. It ranted about how you guys were “so progressive and so much in advance for allowing old people to work longer” and that France is basically throwing a tantrum for refusing to push it to 64. It features an 80 yo hair stylist who said that she was working 5d a week but was happy to have her Saturdays free since she was 65. Really heartbreaking and a pure piece of propaganda for a French channel to display it on national news

  3. The level of optimism is far higher than anywhere in Europe. That makes a lot of things different in the US.

  4. Absolutely lost it at the way he says, “oh, you’re on a journey?!” This guy fucking rules.

  5. I was waiting for him to say “don’t like and don’t subscribe!” After the “hello! hello guys”

  6. Phew… We’re safe now. The homeland is under good watch.

  7. Attention spans seem to have been shrinking since I can remember (am 42), my own included. Which is definitely a weakness when dealing with issues that seem to drag on: important issues, like fighting for rights and equality, or fixing systemic issues in things like healthcare, education, environmental and energy crises, infrastructure, etc. The rich and powerful can really take advantage even when people are paying attention and fighting; I imagine grifting is much easier when most of the population is constantly distracted.

  8. Cause this is asked every week so every week I read more reasons not to have them

  9. I might be wrong but millennials and gen Z are the first generations to question having kids and the need to procreate. This question is being asked constantly for this reason I think. People might be looking for validation too? Idk…

  10. I'm gen X and 95% of my friends don't have kids, so I think it may have started earlier.

  11. 👍 there is absolutely gen x ers that are childless. What I mean is that I think today’s youth are more open, direct and honest about the choice to not procreate. This will normalize the childless life experience more and more. The societal pressures to reproduce will eventually erode because todays young will be old someday and maybe 50 or 75 years from now, having kids will become the novelty. “Look honey, I’ll be damned, there’s a kid on the block”

  12. One of their hits is “how deep is your [love] cover”

  13. Zemmour might disagree. Wait, where’s that guy these days anyways? Lol

  14. I resisted laughing at it, but currently I’m amped I read it

  15. She’s still irresponsible. Having two children who will be deprived of their mother at a young age when she knew she could be facing jail time is really fucking irresponsible.

  16. My 2 cents on this. Christmas like most holidays is a celebration. It’s not a celebration of YOU. It’s an opportunity for individuals to come together and celebrate what they have in common as a family and more. It is not a competition of individualities. Think of it that way and maybe it’ll help in the future.

  17. You know, in fairness to friends, it’s been off the air for nearly 20 years and it’s still what came to mind for a bazillion people when the prompt said “popular show”. Love it or hate it - that’s kind of impressive

  18. Maybe hating Friends has become some people’s personalities. « Hi I’m Steve and I don’t like Friends. »
