  1. I over explain things and repeat myself because of the miscommunications, and it still feels like I'm not understood sometimes

  2. Just because "her time is limited" doesn't give her free reign to be an asshole. You did the right thing for you and your kids. They shouldn't be exposed to such hatred. You're NTA and anyone on your moms side is an asshole too

  3. Man could you be anymore clueless? Yes curly hair needs different care than straight! You need to fix your relationship with her. Huuuuuge asshole.

  4. I didnt insult them and i only compared them because it motivated them to do better and it worked. Also im their mom

  5. No it didn't work, they're constantly comparing themselves with eachother because you pit them against eachother growing up. Do you not realise realise amount of stress you've put them both through? No wonder your daughter wanted to get far away from you

  6. How are you with expressing your feelings in text? I've always been a lot better at explaining through text than with speech, but especially when I'm stressed.

  7. I definitely have a better time communicating through text. It gives me more time to organise my thoughts

  8. Omg I did that with macaroni cheese bites. the idea of them makes my stomach turn at the moment

  9. Leaving my house and tripped down the front steps spraining my ankle. I'd thought I'd broken it til I got an x-ray.

  10. The fact you even had to ask if you were the asshole just proves how clueless you are. Of course you're the asshole here. She's a kid, you can't expect her to care for her siblings in the morning while still getting herself ready too

  11. Get your stuff and run. He acts violent when you asked him a question... imagine how he'll act if you catch him doing something else suspicious. Get out of there please! That reaction isn't normal, or safe

  12. I prefer to use autistic. I'm autistic. I like how it sounds compared to "person with autism"

  13. Yep!! I have to know who's calling me, and be expecting it to even try and answer the phone. If I don't know who it is then I'll watch my phone ring. When I'm at work I refuse to answer the store phone if it rings, I'll pass it off to a colleague

  14. YTA why are you jealous of a dead man? Of course she's going to keep that ring, she's a widow! Get a grip

  15. I've always felt awkward writing in cards. I never know what to say to them, no matter how close I may be to the recipient

  16. Its not very big but its more than 15-20 steps. It was annoying specially at night. He is just a baby so we wanted him to have a room closer to us

  17. Here's a wild idea... put him in your room. Or you know, get used to walking a few extra steps instead of uprooting your daughters whole room for an infant

  18. We are the parents we need the master room but I don't think a 14 years old needs one

  19. You don't think the 14yo needs one, but the infant does? Make it make sense. cough favouritism cough

  20. As soon as you can, you should distance yourself. That isn't right and so uncomfortable! I'm so sorry, you shouldn't have to feel such guilt about things like that

  21. The sudden realisation at how unhappy I was and how trapped I felt

  22. YTA! your 13yr spends all week at school, and the weekends are the only time she gets to unwind before another week of school. Your daughter is right, it's not her responsibility to watch your 5yr and she shouldn't be made to. It can create resentment if you're not careful

  23. Dude that's what moms are for! You weren't being an asshole and frankly her girlfriend should be quiet. Your mom knew you needed that comfort, so she gave it to you. You can both look out for eachother

  24. Next time someone makes a snide comment about your job, just tell them "well YOU insisted I go to college"

  25. Wow, way to go out of your way to bring someone down. Maybe don't be a judgemental asshole next time
