Just having a resting BP of 105/65 does not make it medically dangerous for you to give blood. Especially not when it's drawn by medical professionals. And... it doesn't actually sound like you've ever lost consciousness, just gotten faint/light-headed.
It was a bit unclear, he said he wants to live as long as possible "for moms sake" so I can only speculate that he may want to pass but doesn't want to hurt mom, so I really don't want to try and speculate
