so the suspicions of them being incompetent in actual combat seems to be kinda true. like wtf, they just hoped no ukrainan will watch the direction they were getting shot at from by like 6 people? (and also where they shot one a minute ago)
What did they do that incompetent? Both are behind cover before the engagement starts. Both are prepped and a step away from their firing positions. They are fighting an entrenched enemy who obviously already have the sights trained down the street. I get in your brain Russian = bad, so they aren't professional. But its very far from the truth.

My guess it the Ukrainians are looking down the street whether their is suppressing fire coming down it or not. Their is a reason he started shooting and the first guy who got shot popped the corner at the same time. The only guy in the first video who isn't firing or filming is screwing a booster charge for a follow up shot.
They are doing that to provoke return fire and spot the enemy position then they are driving their tank around the corner and shooting the position.
