1. I misread this as 'British eccentrics', which honestly doesn't sound half bad given our history of man-in-a-shed engineering!

  2. I seriously doubt it, but even if it makes up some of the ground between the Americans and everyone else it'll be a worthwhile endeavour.

  3. If this aeroplane ever flies (something I seriously doubt now that there at least 3 nations involved) it will be massively over budget, overdue and under sold.

  4. This project or any other like it is nothing to do with the EU or Brexit. Defence has largely been irrelevant with Brexit (thankfully). France in particular values its defence arrangements with the UK more than any other country in the EU.
