1. I am so very sorry. I lost my boy at the same age and the same way. I know your pain is terrible right now and I wish I could help. Bulldogs are wonderful loved filled blessings. They fill and then break our hearts. I am so glad Moo had such a loving family and I know he loved you. You will always love and miss him and I hope you can find some peace soon.

  2. Thank you so much. I feel like I want to die. I just can’t describe the pain, it’s immeasurable. I’m so sorry for your loss as well. I’ve never loved a soul like this before. I would do anything to avoid this and I know it’s not going to be good for awhile. Thank you so much my friend.

  3. Same here, I’m so sorry for OP’s loss and for your loss. I lost my sweet little guy the same way at a similar age, I can’t imagine ever loving a dog more. It’s been 6 months now and was so terrible at first it was hard to function. Eventually the pain lessens and you can appreciate the good memories. Moo looks like he was a beautiful boy with a beautiful life ❤️

  4. I am so, so sorry. I lost my little bully last August at 9 years, 7 months. She had a heart condition and died in my arms. It was devastating. And while losing a dog is always heartbreaking, losing one so young is just tragic and makes healing so much harder.

  5. This also happened to me in January. I lost my dog after my previous one died in October. It was so sudden and so heartbreaking. Everyone grieves differently so I hope you know I’m just sharing my own personal experience and not suggesting you need to do the same. I opened my door to my first bully a few days later because I just couldn’t get over my Tibetan Mastiff’s death. My bully was a rescue and I believe we rescued each other. He helped me cope with my grief and he needed a new home. I couldn’t imagine life without him now. Sending you lots of love during this difficult time.

  6. Those freckly ears, omg. Moo looks like he had a beautiful life with you. I’m so sorry for this loss. Bullies are the funniest, sweetest creatures ever.

  7. Omg he was the best thing ever!!! I just cannot! His toys are everywhere! Food, pictures, I’m just really not doing well.

  8. I am so sorry for your loss. Moo had such a great face. Did you know that bulldogs are each given a tiny window in heaven once they cross the rainbow bridge especially to watch over their families? Be on the lookout for signs from Moo that he sends down while he’s watching over you! You may not see his physical body but his soul won’t ever be far. I’m sending you every ounce of love in my body!!!

  9. So very sorry for your loss. I know this pain myself. It is devastating. Take the time you need but as others have said, and I can agree from experience, when the time is right, getting another bully is part of the healing imo. They will never replace our lost ones but bring back all the joy and happiness. Prayers for you and Moo’s peace🙏

  10. Poor moo moo 🐮 I’m glad I’m not the only one who named a dog moo 😊 He’ll be waiting for you ❤️heaven is a place where all the dogs you’ve ever loved come to greet you.

  11. The pain will somehow make way for happy memories. Despite believing it’s impossible during a time like this - yet miraculously it does.

  12. I’m so so sorry for your loss, such a cutie pie. I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling. You’ll see moo again one day, he’ll always be apart of you

  13. I think it is safe to say that most of us on here have lost at least one of our chubby best friends. You are in a good place to grieve. Yes you are normal for feeling the sharpest pain you have ever felt losing your Moo. We all still feel it years later. I am sorry it happened to you, It is never easy hearing of a gorgeous loving Bulldog passing. Stay strong and know that you are not alone.

  14. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet Moo. We lost our girl almost two weeks ago. She was only 6, we rescued her and had her for 8 months. 8 wonderful months that were not even close to long enough. Her personality and quirks were larger than life and so very special. I have the sneaking suspicion that your Moo was the same way. I know it's hard OP and I'm sending lots of love and hugs your way. You gave Moo an awesome life, thank you for sharing that sweet face with all of us! I promise it gets better. They take pieces of our hearts with them when they go. Rest in paradise, Moo - give my Georgia girl some love on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge!!!

  15. I’m so very sorry! They steal our hearts and love us so much. It’s so heartbreaking when they leave this world. I’ll be thinking of you during this difficult time.

  16. I am so sorry. Moo was gorgeous. He's happy in heaven and waiting for you to visit once you're old 💗 what I always do when a pet passes is donate to animal charities in memory of my pet, it helps me grieve. Just take your time and know moo would want you to be happy 💖

  17. I had to put down my best friend at 9 years 5 months( 2 months ago). He was also the sweetest being Ive ever known. But looking at the pictures of your Moo, i swore it was him! They have the same markings, spotted ears, and little demented teeth. They also make the same faces. Did you happen to get Moo around Rancho Cucamonga , CA?

  18. I am sorry for your loss. It was hard looking at his sub for a while when I lost my Bella. Now I look at all the amazing pups and it brings joy to my heart thinking of her though the other pups.

  19. Omg 😭my heart breaks 💔 for u. Ur pet is ur baby no matter what so sorry for your loss may u some day find solice knowing u gave the life a pet could ever have and until the day u meet at the 🌈 bridge their spirit will always live on in u. 🥰🙏🙏✌️

  20. This just happened to me. Almost identical. I am so sorry and feel your pain. I find myself going for walks in the morning looking at old pictures and crying. Hang in there. Sending you love

  21. I appreciate you so much. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. How old was your baby? I had a really bad night last night. I thought I was doing okay but last night was awful. I miss laying in bed and hearing him snore and stroking his huge chest. There’s just a massive hole in my heart that I know will never heal. I’m trying to think of the good times and what a spoiled, awesome life he had but I miss him so much, it’s just so hard. I’m sending you so much love my friend. ♥️

  22. lovely to meet you moo, i wish it wasn't under this circumstance. thank you for sharing, it sounds like a really hard night. please take care of yourself. you've got a wee family on this subreddit to talk to if you ever need

  23. I’m so sorry for your loss! Such a handsome bully. We lost our girl last December suddenly too. It’s very hard I know. Hugs!

  24. I am so sorry for your loss. We had a very similar experience with our first bulldog shortly after he turned 10. Just remember that you filled his life with love and joy just as much as he did yours. Moo looks like an awesome pup and I’m sure you both had a great life together. Hang in there and remember the good times. ❤️🐶🐾

  25. I know you've already gotten so much love from other people in this post but I wanted to also say I'm sorry. I know there's no words to say to make this better. I know that pain too and there is nothing like it. 6 years later and it still hurts like a bitch. There is nothing like the love of a bulldog You obviously loved your pupper to the moon and they definitely knew that. I'm so sorry.

  26. Up vote for the pictures , not the reason for the lost. I'm sorry you're dealing with this right now. I know it sucks, but I promise every day it'll hurt just a bit less, try to remember what Moo did that made you happy when you start to feel sad.

  27. I lost my bully a little over a week ago and pretty much the same thing happened to her, except she was 13. I know exactly how you feel right now. The pain of losing my best friend is the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️

  28. My heart breaks for you. I hear your pain in your post. I hope you find peace in knowing you gave him the best life and that he loved you equally. Time will heal eventually and you’ll be left with loving memories ❤️

  29. I’m sooo sorry!! I miss him for you!! I miss mine every.day. Mine was named Barley.. and we planned to get anothrr named Hopps, as in Barley an’ Hopps the key ingredients in beer. We only got Barley though and we called him by his nick name all the time “fat-man”. He was my life potato that got me through some extremely rough times in mu life. So, i know how you must feel right about now. But we know they’re ok now and they loved us while they were here. We joke now that “fat-man” is in heaven snoring keeping Jesus awake at night or something… the pain doesn’t go away but good memories will outlast the pain of the loss. We plan on getting a little white girl bully and naming her Rose or Rosy one day :)

  30. I am so sorry. I lost my bulldog 4 years ago and still miss her terribly. It does get better, but I know the pain and heartbreak is intense right now. Grief is the price we pay for love. What helped me was getting a tattoo of her beautiful squooshy face on my arm.

  31. I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my first dog which is a bulldog as well. Her name was Ketchup and she was eight years old and a half. She had been with my family ever since when I was 14. She passed away at the end of September which happened recently. She still looked fine before the day of her death. I remember vividly scrubbing her belly and making fun of her before I went to bed. She died unexpectedly on the way to a veterinary clinic due to heart failure. Her death was tragic and what’s worse I wasn’t there for her. I heard the news from my mother and my brother when I was on my way home from school . Seeing her growth as a puppy to a dog till her death really crushes me. I am still in the process of grieving. She was my best friend and an important family. Everything I have been looking forward to in life has now vanished in a single night. So I really understand how you feel. I really wish i can still hug her and smell her now. The scenario of rewinding time and returning back to the day before she die so I can prevent it from happening has been in my mind ever since her death. I still can’t get over her death and I don’t think I ever will. I really hope you can find peace one day. There might be signs that he is still communicating with you in afterlife. I was just doing my homework just now on my table and then out of nowhere a familiar smell wafted through my nose and I cried horribly. It happened twice for me. I am praying for you that Moo is comforting you somewhere beside you just like how Ketchup did for me.

  32. RIP, Moo. OP, I’m so sorry for your loss. Know you gave Moo the best life!! Live for the living. Easier said than done, I know. It’ll get easier with time.

  33. Sigh... sorry for your loss! I know how youre feeling as we lost our 6 year old baby in April. I hate that feeling and whenever I see one of these posts I relieve those awful days after...

  34. I am so so sorry for your loss. I understand your pain. We lost our boy Hugo a year and a half ago and I still think of him every day. My deepest condolences 💐

  35. My Saint Bernard was definitely my heart dog. When I lost her I grieved hard. I still have her photo as my cell phone background even though it has been 6 years since she passed.
