My computer is running hotter than normal when idle and even hotter when gaming. (normally constant 40°c when idle) now it's 60-70 when idle (an515-44-r2a6)
Maybe you can check the minimum process state on that power profile. Your high performance mode may be keeping your processor at its full power mode and not letting it throttle down.
I think it's quite normal, mine does the same. Depends on ambient temperatures as well, in summers idle is like 50ish maybe 60 sometimes, in winters it goes as low as 35-40.
Also if your not gaming honestly theres not really any need to have it in high performance, I've always got it on battery saver will make a significant differance on your temps and fan noise. And a polar bear might just give you blow job for it.
Ive had my Acer nitro now for 6 months and it’s doing the same thing. It must be normal maybe?

Open your nitro, take the vents and clean them and then change the thermal paste. It worked for me
Do the exhaust vents have enough space to blow air out, also check below the laptop for any dust in vents

Check your background services in task manager/scheduler.
Its all started for me also, just 1 month before..I uninstalled latest windows update and amd graphic driver, now its normal...
If your system is 2+ yrs old, get it serviced.
