1. check the prerequisite requirements for the schools you plan on applying to. generally aa sl substitutes for the math requirement perfectly fine

  2. it's ok my physics teacher didn't even finish teaching the curriculum before our exam and we were fine

  3. do u guys really start studying for may exams in march ???

  4. lsd and the search for god, start by listening to 'starting over'

  5. yeah, you probably could. might have to work harder but I can't remember there being some crazy background knowledge needed.

  6. my econ teacher did that. I'd tell ur ib coordinator but probably nothing will change.

  7. recommendations for if I should disclose ib or not if my ossd grades might be more impressive? do they even see ib number grades or just the percent conversions? what if I have a mix of ib and academic courses that might otherwise make up my top 6?

  8. your grades are never what get you into Ivy Leagues, regardless how good they are. You should supplement your applications with extracurriculars, community involvement, and awards to make it well-balanced. also work on your essays, those make or break it oftentimes

  9. i dont think this scores a 7 simply because its obvious for HL. Increasing the mass of the pulley obviously increases the acceleration because of newton's laws. if it was SL maybe, but for HL you should be more creative

  10. Do you have any suggestions how I could make this more creative because I have already done data together.

  11. honestly, I just don't think it's an advanced enough topic to score highly for HL. You could try taking theoretical (calculated based on what you learned in class) vs experimental values (your data) and explaining why there is a discrepancy (friction, air resistance, shape of trolley, etc). In order to score a 7 you would have to explain this very well because it's quite a basic topic. If you want to see other HL physics topics people have done and compare yours, go on Clastify (site with past IAs) and filter by HL and 7.

  12. 0 and was at no disadvantage whatsoever. enjoy your summer and don't worry about school so much.

  13. I was actually in your exact situation. I used to score 50s too until I started reviewing everything I learned in class at home using the textbook (I used the Cambridge one). The worked examples teach you how to solve the exact questions you'll see on past paper 2s and 3s and the exam-style questions are really accurate as well. This brought me from predicted 4s and 5s to 7s, and my friends who followed my advice as well.

  14. Like one of the questions in the physics exam this may was literally the same as one of the exam style it was so crazy

  15. 7 hours a day is ridiculous, don't waste all of your time inside studying. it's good that you're pre-studying but you don't need to stress as much as you are right now. Just make sure you have your basics (trig, differential calculus, maybe some basic distributions) for math and pay attention in your classes. reviewing through textbooks and doing all the worked examples is also helpful

  16. im not getting rick rolled, am i ?

  17. the sims 4 but im broke atm and can't blow $30 on it

  18. this was a fucking awesome movie
