As someone who has just started playing Stardew and having a blast, what are some of the mods considered “must-haves”? I’m just playing vanilla and curious as to what kind of mods people are installing here and what kind of effect it has on the gameplay!

The odds of a $2000 car being completely reliable are very low. Not everyone has a set of tools or the ability to do repairs on their own. Quite a few of my friends drive shitboxes and just about every weekend, we're doing repairs to one of them.

My parents sacrificed a lot to put me and my sister through a mid-range private education. It was a choice and an investment for them that they had to think hard and plan for. People who think this policy change would be a middle-finger to the Etonians of the world don’t understand the types of people this will affect, the upper class and the ultra rich aren’t going to give a crap about a 20% increase in fees. Working families trying to climb the ladder are the ones being screwed here. I have 0 confidence in the “the money gained will be spent improving state schools” argument. The money will go to whatever vanity project or bailout the government needs next. In the meantime we will get more crowded state schools with less money per student, and the gap between classes will just get wider.
Ah yes increase the load on state schools and keep private/public schools only for the most rich and unaccessible to the middle class. Truly a big brain move.
It's not like the torries have made private schools more inaccessible to the middle class, through a chain of crashing the economy and increasing inflation repeatedly. oh...

Also cars are much harder to repair yourself then 50 years ago, the same as most electrical products in general.

I find them to be uniformly a poor fit whereas games like Hades, Cult of the Lamb, Blasphemous 2, etc. are absolutely perfect for it.
