1. Only the corporate healthcare. Not from the point of view of the average American

  2. The median house hold income in the US is $68,703 for 2019 (U.S Census Bureau).

  3. “The rent-to-income ratio was calculated by comparing the national median household income, $71,721, with the average monthly rent, $1,794, for 2022. The current 30 percent figure is an increase from 28.5 percent in 2021, and from 25.7 percent in 2020”

  4. That's not infrastructure. That's just cosmetic beauty. As long as people live happily with dignity and no corruption, that's the best infrastructure on earth.

  5. China’s subway trains go as fast as 160 km per hour. Some are even driverless (run by AI)

  6. $34 trillion in personal income and corporate profits. A 1% tax dedicated to infrastructure would provide $3.5 trillion over 10 years.

  7. You need a third party. Democrats and Republicans are just two sides of the same coin

  8. Regardless of the nitpicking, what matters is the overall chart and the recent huge spike

  9. Wow, that's really impressive! Have you heard if there are any plans to bring this technology to more cities?

  10. No, these algorithms are from machine learning. They come from millions of hours of driving.

  11. Heck, the IPCC has said the same about floods, droughts, thunderstorms and hurricanes as recently as 2013.

  12. 90% of GDP is earned inside the US. The US could literally shut their boarders and only import and it would hardly effect GDP as many Americans exports are loss leaders to maintain healthy forigne relations. We got 3% of our oil from Russia and just stuffed it in tankers in Alaska because we don't need it, the shale revolution happened like 10 years ago. The US COULD be the dominant fuel exporter except that would cripple the global economy. Not that the US doesn't cripple economies but like... It benifits the US to have stable nations instead of rogue states so we buy their shit to keep the lights on. China makes cheap garbo, America designs cool shit (at the economic level, you are poor lol). We take their cheap garbo because it is economically beneficial for everyone, we could make cheap garbo in Mexico and save on fuel but like then China might get wise and try to take Taiwan or East Asia.
