1. EDIT 1: I just wanted to clarify my position on people modifying Cinnamoroll. I don't have a problem with it. I just noticed it more with this particular plush than usual I guess.

  2. Ah! Thanks for the clarification! By remarking that you thought modding was “counter-intuitive” to the whole point of BABs, I definitely interpreted that as a negative stance. Glad to see that’s not the case!

  3. Yeah, I don't have a problem with modding, lol! I guess I'm seeing a lot of this plush has to do with its popularity, too. Dunno why I got downvoted, but okay, lol

  4. I think there’s a serial downvoter in this sub — SO many new posts that I see are at zero upvotes, leading me to wonder who sees freaking BAB posts and hits the downvote button, haha.

  5. So five-ish months lead time if it dropped in January — that seems more typical.

  6. I’m guessing it’s maybe because he’s a simpler design overall? Using a single fabric color must make production a lot easier.

  7. Doesn’t it have to do with Australia’s toy safety regulations, specifically for the Velcro ribbons?

  8. That’s so weird, how is that Velcro any more ‘dangerous’ than the Velcro on the clothes? How is Velcro dangerous at all lmao??

  9. I think it (EDIT: the Velcro plus the ribbons) might be considered a strangulation hazard, but I don’t know for sure. I’ve had to submit plush for safety testing before; however, I’m in the US, so our regulations are different than Australia’s.

  10. If you go to the website, it has a sneak peak that shows the dinosaur.

  11. “Critics who treat ‘adult’ as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

  12. I have at least found there can be acts that I'm neutral about or don't get very much out of but would be happy to do for my partner. If you see your partner's birthday as an opportunity to bless them then doing the things you are comfortable with that they enjoy the most seems like a way to communicate that you care about their pleasure.

  13. i have no words but man i am glad that guy has been chased off of this sub (hopefully). very gross behaviour.

  14. Agreed. It was super upsetting and predatory behavior. The “crotch seam” post was a little crude by nature, but it didn’t have the same bad vibe as Dinosaur Butts Guy.

  15. Have you tried checking your order manually on the website to see what its status is? I got my initial order confirmation email, but I didn’t receive a “building your bear” OR shipping email, but I checked on the site and it’s en route.

  16. Your stuff is so awesome!!! You have a great talent!

  17. Aww, you’re so kind — thank you! I’m just out here making it up as I go along, haha.

  18. I’m quite a bit older than you are and I’ve been collecting stuffed animals all my life. Welcome!

  19. “Attar perfumes are concentrated natural smells in the form of base oil produced from plant sources whereas perfumes are usually sold in spray form since they include alcohol.”

  20. That's going to be the PDF I'm sewing for them :) it's a nice looking pattern, would recommend for those who can sew, despite wishing BaB at least had some dress shirts lol

  21. Oh, awesome! As someone who can’t sew, I hope you’ll share your work so I can live vicariously through you, haha.

  22. I like your BAB’s name! I was considering naming mine “Bear-elzebub,” haha.

  23. I saw someone else do that name!! I love the thematic names. I also put his DOB as June 6, 2006 >:)

  24. How did you take the embroidered eyes off? Did u cat them off? :0

  25. I opened up the head from the back, removed the stuffing to access the embroidery, and then put on some TV shows while I cut the embroidery threads with an X-Acto knife and pulled them out. It took forever!

  26. Whedonspeak just makes you sound insecure, so ashamed of yourself you try to hide your embarrassment with irony. Hate this shit.

  27. Yes! It always feels like the writer is so uncomfortable with sincerity (the actual concept and/or their ability to write it successfully) that they use cheap humor to undercut anything that might be an emotional moment.

  28. I think they’re generally around 15mm! (Someone please correct me if I’m wrong?)

  29. You’re very welcome! I would love to see more people trying this dye because I think there could be some really neat effects and a lot more detail achieved in custom BABs.

  30. Is there any other version beyond Don?

  31. Yay! Thank you so much for the heads-up — I just ordered one!

  32. Thank you so much! I love the new, bigger ears. I might dye them at some point, though!

  33. Why are we not discussing the terrifying chick on the right and her probably possessed toy rabbit

  34. She was a performer at Knott’s Berry Farm during their Halloween Haunt event years ago! She told me that her bunny helped her dig out of the hole that her family put her in.
